clever that man-Gocchin disappears into the box she produced pink-Gocchin from--I don't really want to try to read too much into this, though.

triangular pyramid??) is just unbelievable, and of course the army of Gocchins is pretty wacky too--I think it looks great, haha, but it's almost too weird for words. The way they animate her walking forward, since obviously she was just filmed marching in place--I really can't understand that motion, it's extraordinary. As for the ending, again, I think it's cute and possibly c...

I think man-Gocchin throwing roses and feathers into an alternate space from her closeup (at Melon Kinenbi, at book-Gocchin) is cute, if not terribly clever. For me, however, the rainbow coming from the castle with the dozens of copy/pasted Gocchin's walking over it is the best part. I don't even know what to say about that shot. The sky (three different sky-scapes pasted together into a

overhead shot with Gocchin, mostly because the perspective, etc makes a lot more sense--probably because her curtains are white so they decrease that claustrophobia--also, it looks like they're using a longer lens on the camera for that shot, so the space is flattened out more, which again make the perspective more typical. It's a fine shot, it's just not terribly interesting.

So I like that a lot, it gives what would otherwise be a relatively dull shot some tension. The slow motion, too, and the distortion of the perspective that happens when the girls jump up towards the camera I am also drawn towards--it's really a very strange shot, it's difficult to define the spatial aspects of it, and accordingly it keeps my attention...I am not as interested in the

I don't exactly have an analysis of it, in the strictest sense--I can tell you what I notice? I think the overhead shots with Melon Kinenbi are interesting, because a shot scheme (birds-eye view) that should typically unveil a lot of space (e.g. usually used for cityscapes, etc) is made to feel really claustrophobic because of the curtains hanging around the bed.

the part from 2:57 when they did a slow take (not sure if I'm use the right word) from the top. The PV didn't impressed me much but that part and the 3:25 part completely blew my mind over (remind me a bit of Wong Kar Wai movies). But my friend was all like "nah, there's nothing significant about that"

Ah! I didn't realize my comments were being cut off so early. The 1st should end "all the energy of the composition is focused on her knees," sorry. ^^; What were you and your friend arguing about?
