cdjapan
Neowing

'the site is in English and you can use international postal money orders for those who do not have a credit card. i usually get my stuff within a week, but shipping costs can be a pain. ' - jimbo the mighty

'would agree that www.cdjapan.co.jp is the first choice for this kinda material. I do find myself ordering from www.Amazon.jp from time to time they usually arnt as good as cdjapan for prices but they have a massive stock list and if you cant get it on cdjapan they are worth trying. Beware tho the site is in Japanese, even if you use the in English option on the site alot of the time it dont help much. Depends how good your Japanese is really' - Himalia.

Amazon Japan

'amazon also has a lot of goodies just that its in Japanese... if you can read, its also a good place to shop' - erichuuu

'It's easy to buy on amazon. If you want to buy something and you can't find it, you may find it on amazon' - wasiod

Jpophelp

'Its a great site that import jap goods for u from japan directly. Site in english, and payment with Credit card or Money order, maybe.' - MMFAN

CD Universe
'Another two places worth trying are www.cduniverse.com Ok its an American site so thee all gonna be imports as far as there concerned so there abit pricey but considering how strong Sterling is against the US dollar it compensates, well for United Kingdom anyway' - Himalia

'There's also Play-Asia that have some Japanese CDs, including Morning Musume. There's some stuff at Nippon-Export. Nippon-Export also has a handy form for asking for more products. I've used it on a couple of occasions.
You can also try Jpopfan, that carries used CDs and some photobooks. Haven't tried them myself, though. It doesn't say on the webpage, but they accept Paypal and IPMO. ' - Jacke

here is a list of where i found some jpop stuff, and even morning musume stuff:

thrift stores usually have a cd section

second hand cd trade or exchange stores. ask if they have a jpop section but also always look in the euro section where the trance and goa is

comic book stores sometimes have music cd's or japanese television vtr's

garage sales, couldn't hurt, i found a gackt poster once.

naturally, anime conventions especially those that have ongoing concerts at the same time, will have cd's of the japanese band or group that performing

i have a bunch of geek friends [don't worry, i'm not name calling, they proudly call themselves geeks] and they go to conventions regularly and get lots of stuff from japan

some of the big national record shops are starting to sell jpop, always ask every time you go [ i did it til i was a minor pill and they finally got some] same thing here, always look in the euro or international section sometimes they just throw all non american stuff together...

hunting is half the fun, but hey, there is nothing like opening up a brand new morning musume concert dvd that has come straight from japan

Fujisan

It's pretty good for mag subscriptions. But as I have not gotten into music until recently, don't know how competitive they are there -agb

YesAsia

They have Kpop, Jpop, and Cpop entertainment. The Jpop CDs can be a bit pricy but they do very good business. I have bought many things from them - Trant
