Budokan is big for any idol. Yes, there are acts that can pull bigger venues but those are probably not more than a dozen out of hundred or thousands of existing idol groups lol

well, considering j=j is more well-known with the general public and overall a more popular group, i wouldn't be surprised if a large margin of auditionees did so with joining j=j in mind.

that was my first thought when the audition was announced, ufa probably thought a tsubaki-only audition might not attract too many people (and with the low numbers auditions have pulled the last few years in general...) so they used j=j to gain more traction, cause imo they didn't need auditions as they just relied in kss (and other group members lol)

keep in mind she had no singing experience prior to joining j=j.

she sounds decent enough already, i'm sure she will grow a lot more really fast, she has tons and tons of potential tbh

they also sold over 100k copies first week. imo consolidating their position as one of the top ggs of the 4th gen.

 

Oof, 70th single. Did MM do anything special for their 60th single?

 

the 60th was Sayashi's last single. Not much tbrh. I could see them doing something big on the 75th rather than the 70th

 

I think they're going to delay the release of the new single considering Maa has not recovered yet. The one single she wasn't in dipped in sales despite having banger songs so I think they'll take the Tsubaki-Kiki route this time and release a song when she's fully back with activities

 

 

For 40th single they promoted it a lot, 50th brought the new era and 60th was rushed bc of Riho's graduation, but they still included their first full english song to make it special and promoted it a lot, so i expect something nice for 70tht too!
