The two subleaders already practically adores/worship Sayu while Riho(the latest pokemoni), Ayumin(her latest blog), Maachan(basically always lol), and Duu(see her flush a deep red whenever Sayu pays attention to her) gets jealous at each other when one of them got close to her. I'd watch a show where all of them, with Ikuta doing her own thing and Zukki and Sakura being the voice of reason , just keeps vying for Sayu attention and make an appeal for themselves. It would translate well into normal variety skills too.

Not to mention stuff like Michishige Photosouls & Camera... she should also be the goods and event planner for MM >_<

Yeah... so for me

best case scenario : Sub-producer, show host, management/trainer role, goods&events director

nightmare scenario : complete retirement

but whatever she decides, she'll always be my no #1 idol and I'll keep supporting her in any way I can

lol coming from Sayu I actually think that's the one of the highest compliment of all.

...plus, Sayu herself is pretty much an even worse "good-for-nothing" idol in terms of raw skill since she doesn't even have Ikuta's athleticism

But even still she shines as an Idol, standing her own among even the greatest of them. So I think she wants Ikuta to find her own ways to shine to...

In a way I could understand if she'd want that...

She never seemed the type who wanted to be famous for its own sake, nor does she seem ambitious or eager to move on to/try another career.

Her personality, from her subdued/simple dressing style, her hobbies etc doesn't strike me as a very outgoing person to begin with so yeah... I think complete retirement has its appeal for her.

Besides, everything she's done up until now, it all goes back to Morning Musume.

She wanted to join Morning Musume, she wanted to be recognized as a member of Morning Musume, at its most obscure she wanted to bring recognition to Morning Musume through variety and as its leader she wanted to guide the new members, nurture them, promote and bring the group to a new period of success. She never showed any interest in stageplays, modeling, acting, bands or any other regular post-MM career track on it's own unless it still has something to do with MM. She has been entirely consistent on all these regards.

So... yeah, after Morning Musume, I haven't the faintest idea what she'd want to do.

It definitely would be a tremendous waste of talent if she did though... so my biggest hope is for the management to persuade her to still do something related to MM even after her graduation from H!P and MM. As Tsunku's sub-producer, perhaps? Or host for a new tv-show ala haromoni directed by her? That'd be super awesome.

My biggest fear right now is if Sayu would actually join Eri in retirement....

No, she said she wants the show to continue. No definitive announcements yet but at least that being able to hear at this stage makes me hopeful.

Same with youngtown last friday, she said she wants to continue being a regular there too. Again no definitive announcements are made there either yet.

That she feels that way is really nice to hear though...
