Way to go Kanami! She's living the dream. She's been a favorite of mine since I first saw her. As a matter of fact I love all the Hokkaido KSS. I really hope she gets to debut one day alongside everyone else.

From my knowledge it's a term that's used for younger people/generation Z, because younger people tend to have different values/ideals than their parents/grandparents. Personally I don't think he means to say Maachan is a genius, just that she's typically youthful. And with "ni atta yo" I think he means に会ったよ, which means "I met".

Correct me if I'm wrong though.

I gotta say, her improvement has been enormous. I remember when she wouldn't even speak around her senpai and being teamed up with Ayumi in the wanko soba challenge when she was still a kenshuusei made her cry. Now she's boisterous and has her own sense of style and everything. Couldn't be more proud of her!
