The production of the movie BLOOD : THE LAST VIMPIRE will have a movie (I guess it would be considered Live Action) based on the anime.

Ji-Hyun will play the lead role of Saya in the Ronny Yu directed live-action version of Blood: The Last Vampire, which is to start filming in Tokyo and Melbourne in early 2008. It is slated for a Spring 2009 release.

The main character will be played by MY SASSY GIRL's Jun Ji Hyun ( ) (also known from Windstruck, Daisy, the Unwanted. Noted for commercials such as GIORDANO, ANYCALL, SAMSUNG, Tea CMs).

Even bigger news : The movie is going to be released in AMERICA! Yes, thats right, its another movie filled with Asian actors going to be released in America. Right now (or soon) Jun Ji Hyun is/will (be) learning to perfect English and also try to rid her accent for this role. This may be why it will be produced in 2008 and released maybe in 2009 ;___; (NOTE Wikipedia.com saids that it is being filmed in 2007 and planned release in 2008)
Hopefully things go peachy, and the movie will not be canceled!
JJH is a great actress, and I think its totaly awesome shes playing an important role in such an action packed movie. (Who knows, maybe she'll get to play the main role in My Sassy Girl now!~)


The only thing thats sorta irritating me is its another Japanese cultured part of Japanese entertainment, using diffrent Asians... (this is also how I felt about Memoirs of a Geisha, although it was good). I just wish they would cast some Japanese actresses because they arent that bad either

This special event is on New Years Eve. It's live n ends a few minutes before midnight. The artists spilt into 2 different colors (white for boys and red for girls) n they try to get the ppl from all around Japan to vote for their group. The winning group will get bragging rights for the year^^. Mix groups usually go to the gender of the main vocals or the leader.
