(Thank you — it took 2 months to put together, and yeah… Kanata’s choreos are no joke!!)

I’m pretty sure 12-1AM is considering the golden time slot no? When most people are watching TV. So Airi’s drama isn’t too far off, and it’s definitely being aimed at women so it’s likely that time slot would work better for a female audience? Hm… not sure though. It’s airing on Ameba’s app/streaming service, so I don’t think it’s even airing on TV to begin with. Because it’s streaming, I guess it doesn’t matter exactly when it goes live because people can watch them whenever it works best for them.

I downloaded the app and it seems like it’s available for free to watch, but I’ve heard that Black Cinderella (also an Ameba drama) was free for a certain period of time and then it would be blocked behind a paywall, tho I’m not sure if that’s standard for Ameba or not. The English instructions when downloading the app only tell you that they can provide these shows for free because of add revenue, so they ask you to allow ads when asked. So I don’t know if people really have a choice but to watch it on time? It’s weird. lol Like why not just have it set up like netflix — pay month each month and get free access to all content on the app whenever you want?

I’m hoping someone will sub it. Does anyone know if there are fans that sub dramas anymore?

Airi is having her first lead role in a new Ameba drama, called Animals! It’s a mature rom-com love triangle, where she plays a woman transitioning between jobs/careers and finds herself forming complicated relationships with two male coworkers, one older and one younger.

Same director as Black Cinderella.

It seems Airi is setting her sights more on acting last year as well as this year, so I wonder if this will continue… it’s also funny that she’s the first °C-ute member to get a lead acting role in a drama, despite the fact that was Maimi’s career goal upon graduation (and they talked about how nice it would be if Airi sang the theme song). Airi ended up accomplishing that first, lol.

I do find it strange that her first lead role does have one of her songs as the theme song.

Sorry for the double post!

Just thought I’d share my latest medley dance cover project… this time celebrating the 5th anniversary of Do me a favor’s release (and Airi’s solo debut)! I can’t believe it’s been five years already?? This is my favourite Airi solo era, and I really miss this “version” of Airi (she doesn’t dance much anymore ). But I’ll support her forever no matter what.

I haven’t seen them making any fuss about her 5th anniversary yet, so I wonder if they’ll bother to point it out. lol

So many thoughts….

First of all: beautiful song!! I’m so happy to see Sayubee back in the singing game. She’s always been one of my fav Juice members.

Is it just me or has her voice changed? I feel like it’s less… nasally? Or something? I can’t figure it out. But it sounds different somehow. Anyone else hear that?

Also — I know this may be weird to ask but — has she changed her mouth/chin area somehow? Teeth or something? Maybe I just never noticed before and I’m only noticing now because of the camera angle but I feel like something there is different? I couldn’t stop looking at her mouth. lol

Anyway, I really hope she’s not still with that guy because I doubt he’s changed much (men like that usually don’t) and she’s too good for a guy like that. But I don’t doubt that some of the dislikes she’s getting from (former) fans has to do with how she’s “changed” now that she’s not an idol anymore. She did a recent video that was sorta spicy for a former idol (though I’m assuming it was just very clickbaity as I haven’t watched it myself, so maybe the actual content wasn’t as spicy as the video title suggested), and she’s much more “out there” and direct now. Obviously she was probably always this way, but her idol persona had to be a little more reserved and that’s what “those types” of fans are used to and expect from her.

Like ItsudemoAibon said, it was really a company-Sayuki issue than a fan-Sayuki issue, her insta and the company’s social media were filled with comments from fans supporting her to stay in Juice and criticizing the dating ban for adult talents. But whether or not Sayuki “chose” to leave is what’s up for questioning — the company basically said she chose to leave (after being told she couldn’t be in Juice anymore but could be a soloist, which she apparently had a “Juice or nothing” position on), which if I remember right, Sayuki’s statement somewhat matched with (but maybe she was told to write that, honestly). But considering she’s starting a solo career now, it makes me wonder how true that “we offered her a solo career and she turned it down” excuse actually was.

Then again, maybe it was the principle of it. Maybe Sayuki didn’t want to be under a company that a) was punishing her by removing her from Juice for something that wasnt her fault but also is a totally human thing that the fans backed her on, and B) wouldn’t fit with her visions for a solo career anyway. It’s totally possible she did it to make a point (or stick it to them to some degree).

Like Up-Front has done amazing things for Airi, but that’s mostly Airi’s handiwork. If you look at any of the other “soloist” acts under them, none of them are doing… well, much at all. Very little promo, very little budge going into them, few activities and releases happening. So maybe Sayuki looked at that and went “yeah, I can do better than that on my own.” Heck — maybe she was never intending to be a soloist under UF and always envisioned leaving UF upon graduation and starting her own company / being a soloist elsewhere.

I’m sure Sayuki will do a video about this sooner or later — she doesn’t seem to be afraid of talking about basically anything or pushing the envelope. She’ll probably want to set the record straight as to how things happened from her perspective now that she’s not so limited on what she can say and do.

^Good catch, I never would have noticed that — Airi hasn’t said anything about it to my knowledge… I’m sure if things go south with that project she’ll address it maybe?

Hi everyone :) I did another one-take dance cover, this time a medley of Buono!’s Shugo Chara era a-sides! Since they didn’t do much dancing after that, it would have been a boring video for the last two minutes if I included their remaining 4 a-sides to make it an All Singles Complete medley like I did with °C-ute.

Also — I had to let YT mute Bravo Bravo, as UF was making it so the video wasn’t able to be viewed if it was in there. I tried everything — making it higher pitched, using a live recording… but it kept flagging it. Apologies. It was either it got muted or it couldn’t be viewed at all, and I didn’t spend the last 6 months working on this to not have anyone be able to see it. (It irritates me that there’s multiple videos using that song, some of them straight DVD rips from the single or live DVDs, and THOSE are up but my dance cover featuring it for 1 minute can’t be???)

Anyway, here it is:
