Wow, It's true! That's why it reminded me of another song, but couldn't remember which one.

juice=juice was such a great concert. Sayuki is unbelievably pretty in person - they all are, but particularly sayuki. and you could really see what a pro Karin is.

Can't you bring a copy of your parents ID and your birth certificate?

only 4 days left till I see juice juice with my friend. It's on a thursday night so we are legging it out of school, jumping on the train to london then coming back up to lincolnshire all in one night for school the next day lol. I still haven't bought glowsticks for us though and I'm not really sure where to get them from.

I bet I end up having to wear my 6th form uniform to the concert lmao

Don't know why but I feel like the girls would probably enjoy seeing someone in a UK school uniform.

^I agree, the Japanese fans (mostly women) dress up to impress and I think they would be excited about a school uniform.

Thinking of doing my EPQ on Yojijukugo. Cannot believe that corner of H!S that I never used to understand or care about has finally come in handy lol

Been revising for my GCSE maths exam since December and I had the 2nd exam this week and I can't stop thinking about all the stupid mistakes I made on the paper that might stop me from passing. It's so disappointing that I put so much effort into maths then have probably failed because I panicked in the test.

That really sucks. I know it doesn't seem like this now but no matter what happens on results day, your grades don't define you and there are other paths to the place you want to be if you don't do as well as you hoped the first time round. Maths is the worst. I hope you feel better soon.

I know it can't help for this time but it might be worth looking into some techniques to help stop panicking in exams. I had problems all through my alevels(I ended up redoing so many of them) and then after I received help in how to think through that sort of panic I found exams so much less worrying.
Good luck and remember whatever the outcome there's always ways to overcome and work towards the next goal(I was still able to go to my university of choice even after all that)

Weird thing for me is, the more I study for an exam, that one tends to be the one I do worse on :/ I always end up wondering if I'd do better had I not studied at all.

idk whether to go to a college for 6th form or just stay in school. I want the freedom and independence that you get at college but my school ranks highly on league tables.

...After doing 2 years at college going to uni is something that still felt familiar the only difference was I went to uni in a big city when I come from a smaller town so it was a different way of life.

My 6th form was different so it was like a school in terms of classes and the way you were taught, but like a college in terms of being allowed to leave when you wanted, eating whenever you want, lectures, etc. Teachers were pretty chill with you even if you didn't get your work done, it's only if you're really falling behind that they start treating you like a year 11 student lol. After my two years of A-levels, I now do a 1 year FA&D diploma course at my 6th form and we'...

..and we're pretty much treated like uni students at this point. For me, 6th forms are just a higher standard of secondary schools. If you go to one attached to a secondary school, you will literally just be doing higher level study at a school environment. If you go to one at a 6th form colleges on the other hand, you get to be more independent, so the jump to uni isn't as shocking.

They're not offering AS levels anymore which sucks. You either commit to your 4 or you just start with 3.
Thanks everyone for your replies I can't believe how much I'm antagonising over this lol

I took Eng Lang, and tbh either of the English subjects are really good. There is so much to do with reading, writing and analysing different genres.

honestly, uni's dont care about what you took. as long as your grades meet the requirements they won't mind. depending on the uni they might say "we would prefer if you had this subject" but if they don't say that then it's fine!

I had pretty much the same preferences as you. I love languages, but didn't want to be teacher or translator. Sciences are difficult for me as well, so I ended up studying something with culture, language and pedagogics (intercultural communication). Something in that direction might be interesting for you. Maybe you can choose your A levels according to that. I do agree though that you should think about which languages you prefer. It's harder to switch to a different one after.

Thanks everyone, I'm going to ask around school about science vs language career paths.
