I'd love solos on albums again I think in the Platinum era, pretty much every member got a solo song at some point (except JunLin, but they got the Chinese version of Ame no Furanai, and that was great).

 

Didn't Platinum 9 Disc have three solo songs? Sayu got one, and so did Aika, and Eri? The last album that had solos was Colorful Character, and it was only Reina and Sayu who got one. To be honest, I'm surprised Riho hasn't had one yet, at least.

 

And yeah, as you say, Aika got one, and she's often used as an example of an unpopular member, so it's not always the popular girls who get things like that. Although I suppose one difference between Aika and Zukki is that Aika remained unpopular despite actually being pushed quite a lot, at least for the first couple years (her solo song, and she actually got quite a lot of solo lines in singles for a while), but they've never really tried to push Zukki at all. >.> But of course, we're hoping this is the year that this is changing

But no matter what happens with Zukki in terms of solo lines in singles or being pushed or whatever, I really do hope she (and most of the other girls, too, really) get a solo song on an album at SOME point. It'd just be great to have a song that we can hold up and say, "This is Zukki's song!"

 

And, it would also be nice to have a song that is hers and hers alone to sing at her eventual graduation ;_; I don't like thinking about it, but of course it's going to happen, I just hope not for another few years. I can't believe 9th gen have been members for over 4 years already o.O I just hope at least that Zukki's not the first to go

I'm a fan of the group since 2002 so I have seen many things changing over the time in the group. The solo songs album is something that definitely have to come back! even the less popular girls have their own song in that time, so I think it would be a great idea! specially now that they all have improve a lot! so I'm pretty sure they can pull it out.

I think Zukki has a lot of hidden potential, but maybe since she has been criticized over her weight or sense of humor, she may feel a little insecure and didn't push herself to the limit. But I'm glad the management is giving here more lines and is giving her more spaces where she can shine like never before!!!

Awww! I died from the inside reading the translation of Sukki's interview! she is so sweet but strong minded! I love it.

She is very strong and I admire the fact that she is so young and still she is dealing with a lot of hate quite well. I mean, just imagine how hard must be for her to find those horrible comments of people calling her an underdog or saying she doesn't deserve to be in MM because she is fat.

She is adorable! and in my opinion idols are not only pretty faces, they are also role models, and I believe Kanon is quite a good role model for young girls who has low self-stem or confidence.
