Does anyone here find it strange that the people here that have offered JPS invites / accounts only have a handful of posts on H!O??
Seems a bit sketchy to me... Or am I too paranoid?

i'm only trying to help, because JPS can be tricky, and if you mess up, it's really hard to get in good standing again.

Since for some reason my browser will not allow me to post on the JPS forum, I'll ask here. 

 

My ratio on JPS is already looking pretty bad. I downloaded a 595.32 MB file and have only been able to upload 5.42 MB. I haven't been able to seed this to anyone today. I decided to freeleech a 18gb file and I see nothing is being seeded so far despite having this open for a few hours. Will seeding only happen after the file is completed?

 

 

Edit: I should clarify. I see I'm uploading a little while I'm downloading the 18gb file, but it's not being counted toward my ratio.

also, like most have said, you can only seed what people are downloading.  The really popular files on jpopsuki are usually music station, japan countdown, countdown tv and buzz rhythm.  And those particular files are around 5 gigs.  They're usually free leech too.  Since those shows air every week, you can improve your ratio very quickly.  I think that is the quickest way to gain a better ratio right from the start.

after a while you'll start to understand the whole ratio thing better and what types of shows/content gives you a good chance of improving your ratio.  downloading old akb or hp content in bulk is the quickest way to put yourself at risk of having a bad ratio, and ultimately get yourself banned from their tracker.  it's a pain in the ass to get yourself unbanned, trust me, i found out the hard way and had to jump through hoops to get out of the red.

trying to get something going here.  only way a chatroom is going to work is if people understand the concept of idling.  and not quitting or leaving the channel when there is no conversation going.
