Supaga have another problem when it comes to leadership. Rikataso was leader less than a year ago and is still in the group. The other 1st gen members need their time to shine too so although Koume is the best candidate, it would be terrible for the older members to be overlooked for the position. Making Koume subleader until the next leader graduates would be a good idea too. In the end, the least controversial move they can make is giving a 1st gen member minus Rikataso the leadership.

In retrospect, it was stupid to entrust Amita with the leadership if they knew she was going to graduate in a few months, even if she really deserved it. It must have been a really sudden decision or they were desperate to keep her in the group by giving her the leader position.

I hope it's Miyari... but I have a feeling it'll be Koume.

I can't see how she can possibly be a part of their new single as she won't be in the group during promotion. She's graduating on March 31 at EX THEATER ROPPONGI, and her graduation event is called 前島亜美 ~Graduation☆Ceremony~.

I'm actually surprised by Ikuta. I knew Haruna wasn't that popular, but by now I expected Ikuta to be just below Ayumi (Maria topping both).

The rest was kind of to be expected, unfortunately.

Haruna has never been that popular, though. Guess it started with her being quite a bit older than the other newbies, then her not being that much of a great performer and maybe even her being more tanned.

It's not really that Harunan isn't liked, she just doesn't have as many dedicated fans as the other members excluding Akane. Like you said, she was at a disadvantage from the start with her age and lack of skill. She has more casual fans than we think. She's the kind of girl who's above average in member rankings, with few listing her as their #1.

Ikuta used to be about as popular as Ayumi so I guess she lost fans over the years as new members joined and she lost her momentum. I always thought it was funny when people complained about how unpopular she was a few years ago when she was at her peak, right in the middle of the group popularity-wise. Sakura isn't popular, yet she sells as many rounds as Ikuta now. Maachan, who wasn't popular as Ikuta back then, blossomed and became MM's most popular member.
