Kikka is one of the few idols I still care about these days! I picked up her 2nd album from the post office yesterday, and it's on the tracker now.

About Me
I was first introduced to Morning Musume in 2001, but didn't really become a fan until 2002. My obsession peaked around 2003, when I really started buying albums and singles instead of just watching the videos online.
I spent the 2007-2008 school year in Japan and was lucky enough to see concerts with Maki Goto (twice!), Aya Matsuura, Natsumi Abe, and v-u-den. I also attended an Ongaku Gatas event and saw two plays, one a musical, starring Hitomi Yoshizawa. The two plays I saw also included the likes of Ayumi Shibata, Mai Satoda, Ayaka, Atsuko Inaba, and Yuki Maeda, so I certainly got quite the fill of H!P while in Japan! I even got to meet and shake hands with the under appreciated Yuki Maeda. My favorite memories, however, would have been when Hitomi Yoshizawa caught my eyes twice during that Ongaku Gatas event, and her sweet smile when she waved back at me is something I'll never forget! I got to see her again in 2009 when Hangry & Angry came to the U.S., but it just wasn't the same as that special time.
Today's H!P doesn't do much for me, sadly! I like a lot of the stuff Berryz puts out and Morning Musume still catches my attention every now and then, but the flame has fizzled out. It doesn't help that with the graduation of all the OG members, current H!P all became younger than me!
Instead, I follow Maki Goto's new career under avex, look around for snippets of what Hitomi Yoshizawa's up to, and watch old videos. Sigh!
Outside of all that, well...! I'm mostly a big video game fan, have been studying Japanese for years with the hopes of becoming a translator, and like listening to all sorts of music and going to the movies. Other Japanese artists I enjoy include T.M.Revolution, Mika Nakashima, L'arc~en~Ciel, and GLAY.

I got into IU last summer. 좋은 날 / Good Day is still one of my favorite songs! I think Last Fantasy as a whole is my favorite album by her, though.
I'm very excited for her Japanese single soon.

Oh man, Hips Don't Lie. So glad I got to see that live twice since it never made it to the DVD!
Yeah I feel the same way. Haha! I'll be in Japan in April, so I'm a lot more likely to just buy it there instead. I may have imported all of her other stuff, but... exactly that, I spent all my money on her other releases. ;
^ YES. I'm definitely excited to get that DVD set, maybe I'll buy it while I'm in Japan so I don't have to spend a buttload of money on it here...

I bought Kikka's first single back when it first came out, and then kinda lost track of her activities because I was so focused on the end of Maki Goto's avex career. But now I am all about Kikka. Hahaha. I was SO blown away by Konna Watashi de Yokattara that I pre-ordered her album the day I saw the PV, and I finally got it today! They tried to deliver it two days ago but I was only able to get to the post office today. Phew! So happy! It's on the tracker now.
I was so jazzed about her solo career (Fuyuzora Hanabi sealed it for me) and I'm really glad that she's still doing well, or so it seems. I hope she's doing something when I go to Japan this April/May... maybe for her 20th on May 1st? (The fact that she's turning 20 makes me feel much less like a creeper for having her be my new idol focus... Maki and I are the same age, so. Haha.)
Time to watch all the YouTube clips in this thread!
