By tablet I mean something like an iPad not something like Wacom.
So...do you?
I personally have a Samsung SGH-T869 It's a 7 inch Android 3.2 (upgraded to 4.0 by the end of June) with 4G service through T-mobile

Windows Freezing Randomly
01 July 2007 - 09:34 PM
So, here's the thing.
For the past month, my computer seems to like to freeze...randomly....even when it's not doing anything.
I don't know what's causing it, but this is what I've done to try and fix it:
Defrag both hard drives
Run Ad-Aware every day
AVG Virus Scan every day
Scheduled a disk check for both hard drives each time I restart my computer
Ran a .bat file I have that wipes the cache clean (glad I had this one, freed up 30gb of hard drive space on my primary drive)
Everytime I run any sort of mal-ware tools, the only thing I have are cookies, nothing in my registry or folders/files
I also have a fan that blows cooler air from inside my room into the computer: http://www.zeroseren...th/HPIM0192.JPG
So, any thoughts at what I can do, or any suggestions would be helpful.
And, just to add, I have considered reinstalling windows, but, I'm hesitant to do that, because I have about 70gb of stuff I have to back up first....unless there's a way to reinstall without backing up that I don't know about

Keeping a computer connected to the internet...
02 July 2006 - 11:59 AM
So....for the past two weeks, my computer will just periodically (no set time fram, mostly when it feels like doing it) stop connecting to the internet.
Now, I know it's not my actual connection, as my mom's laptop stays connected all the time when my computer doesn't.
The only way for me to get it to reconnect to the internet, is to restart. (Makes this really fun to try and seed -_-)
And, the last time that I restarted I saw windows trying to shut down a program with a rather odd name. It was something like "MPDnd_Hooker" ....I'm not sure of the first 3 characters, but I do know that the rest of it I could see was "nd_Hooker"
So....any ideas so I can keep my computer connected for MORE than 24 hours -_-

Internet Connection troubles
14 March 2006 - 07:19 AM
Ok, here's the deal. My internet connection keeps like.....dropping or something at random times and out of nowhere. And it's done this twice in the last 24 hours. the only remedy I have for this is to restart my comp as nothing I've tried can restore the connection.
Here's some specs that might help:
OS - Win SP2
Ram - 448 MB (it shares the rest up to 512 with my integrated geforce 4 vidcard)
Hard Drive - 100GB total, 7GB free
Firewall - Windows, Zone Alarm Pro (both always on)
Virus-scanner - AVG 7 free (scans every day at 6am +7GMT)
Mal-ware scanner - Ad-aware (current version and I try to do weekly scans)
I hope that helps to illuminate the issue, and any help would be most appreciated

Firefox and saving files
14 February 2006 - 09:59 AM
Ok.....I'm kinda lost as to what to do at this point...
I have Firefox 1.5.0.1 and everytime I try to save something, it takes me approximately 30 seconds to over 1 minute to save something....even something as simple as a picture from a website (or from the pic thread in the forum.....which was a pain to get through)
When I tell it to save the file, it asks me where to save the file to (as I have it setup to do so), and then, when it saves....it sounds like (and I can feel it moving as well) that it's trying to save to my floppy drive first, then saves to my hard drive.
I'm trying to figure out how to fix it and keep it from being stupid like this.
thanks in advance, and sorry if this shouldn't be here
