I love reading interviews of the girls. I remember some with Reina and Sayumi that really made me think "Wow, these girls are so smart. Their thoughts are so deep." And the latest one of Maa-chan (you'll find it in her thread) has blown my mind even more.

Austria has voted today and two right-wing parties are on top. I'm starting to feel kind of helpless in this country.

I feel you on that. My country has only had conservatives or neoliberal corporatists in charge since I was born and I live in one of the most far-right states in the US. It's not the most welcoming place for a progressive social democrat.

I'd like to get to know Nogizaka46 better since I've heard lots of good things about them. To their fans on this forum: Is there anything you would recommend watching? Like lives, MVs, TV shows, anything really... :)

A friend once showed us a bunch of Nogizaka46 MVs. The videos are certainly well done and the girls are very cute, but I found their music rather boring. I was caught dozing a couple times xD

^ unfortunately this? maybe I just saw MVs that were like that? but Nogizaka46's younger sister Keyakizaka46 is so awesome to me. the feeling it gave me reminded of the old days when I got into Jpop and when I started discovering MM and H!P

I always thought that when Duu graduates, it will be the first time I'll go to Japan just to see a concert. Her grad concert would be worth it. And now she's graduating too soon and I won't have the money to actually go. T-T

I get to watch Japanese variety shows to use in the empirical part of my master thesis (lucky me! :3). Do you guys now any variety/talk shows with women as hosts? I've been looking through the most popular shows but it seems most of them have guys in them. ><

Tetsuko no Heya is one of the most highly regarded talk shows in Japan. Kuroyanagu Tetsuko also used to host The Best Ten and still hosts Sekai Fushigi Hawken. Matsuko Deluxe generally identifies as a transvestite, but be also hosts a myriad of shows.
Lots of shows also have male-female pairs as hosts, a la Music Station, Doremifa-Don, etc.

Lately my friends make me sing Mukidashite a lot because they like the song lol. Exciting Fight, Watashi no dekkai Hana, Baby Koi ni knock out, Umaku Ikenai and other recent songs are also on my list~
