i think the number of posts is not the main important thing..... this just tells us how much you post.... i believe the Sempai status will came as much as you cooperate and colaborate with the forum....

No one should worry about it.... just enjoy the conversations in the forum... and when you see you will be a senpai....

Your ratio is one of the factors taken into consideration for senpai status.
There is a thread discussing that very topic: Can I become a senpai already?

To answer your question though, in general, no. Your uploading efforts will definitely be appreciated and noticed. Leechers are bad, seeders are good. Keep seeding and actively post, and someday you might be a senpai.

Patience is important though. This is one of those cases where good things come to those who wait.
