I like many male actors/singers/etc but... I think I can say one. I don't know do you count him as a celebrity, but he is my favorite and my hero.
My hero and person who I really really look up is Ayrton Senna. I know he isn't celebrity or anything but still. Ayrton Senna won the Formula 1 companionship three times in late 80's and early 90's. He bought the light and hope to Brazil (which was in bad political situation back then). He was a legend, he cared lot about others. He was wise and calm, but same time he had passion towards things he did. He was simply amazing. Back in days when Ayrton was driving, it was normal that someone died in F1. It wasn't safe as now days, back then it was all about drivers and their skills and their mental power. Ayrton was just amazing.
Sadly he passed away on 1 May 1994, as a result of his car crashing into a concrete barrier while he was leading the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Italy. The weekend was called as a black weekend, at Friday Barrichello (racing driver) got hurt in accident, on Saturday Roland Ratzenberger died and on Sunday it was Senna. The reason of Senna's death is still mystery, no one knows. There is lot of speculations but not absolute truth. And I think that is how it will stay.
One of my favorite quote from Ayrton is: "These things bring you to reality as to how fragile you are; at the same moment you are doing something that nobody else is able to do. The same moment that you are seen as the best, the fastest and somebody that cannot be touched, you are enormously fragile." Of course he is talking about racing but somehow, you can really see it everywhere. How fragile you really are.
So he is my favorite. I know this goes way over the topic (maybe). But he is my favorite and will always be. He is my idol and hero.
"He who fights with monsters should be careful lest he thereby become a monster. And if thou gaze long into an abyss, the abyss will also gaze into thee."
