So I tried a Dynasty Warriors: Gundam game for the first time in years yesterday. Back when the first one came out I played a little of the demo and really hated it. But I've been somewhat in the mood to give it another try, so my friend let me have a go on his copy of Gundam 3.

Actually had some really interesting mechanics. But why are all the maps so goddamn boring?

as for you question.... hahahah.... don't really know.... maybe they should get some the level designers from the other dynasty warriors franchise...

what do you thinkg about the cell-animation.... i'm hoping they go back to the style like the first / second game....

Ordinarily I'm not really a fan of cell-shading. But it wasn't too bad in DW:G3, I felt. It was a lot more subtle than most games that try it.

What would you guys say should be improvements for Dynasty Warriors 8?

I own and have played all the Dynasty Warriors game since the very first one on PS1. The one which was pretty much a fighting game like Tekken, Virtua Fighter, Street Fighter, and Soul caliber. At least all the ones that have come out in the U.S. As well as every Warriors Orochi Game that has come out here as well except 3 ultimate. I'm getting that next month for my birthday. Right now I am eagerly and impatiently awaiting 8 empires. Ever since 6 empires I have been making char of all my favorite members of Morning Musume and AKB48. If anyone has 7 empires for PS3 then look up my PSN elvenblade and download them. I would love to know what people think. I even made some versions of char from Majisuka Gakuen. It wouldn't let me upload Sado though because it said the name was offensive. I couldn't help but laugh about that. So I had to change her name to Mariko in order to upload her. But anyone can change it to Sado after they download her.

I currently have Dynasty Warriors Gundam Reborn (Shin Gundam Musou) and I have plans to buy Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate.

 

It was fun to play and there are a great selection of overpowered mobile suits.

Recommended suit + pilot + partner combinations

1. 00 Raiser + Athrun + Bright (Ra Cailum) - SEED gives infinite boost, and Trans am gives added speed, so you can go from one area to another in an instant. On partner burst, a combo of the raiser sword and Ra Cailum's nuke. And I chose Athrun because he's undefeated in SEED mode.
2. Physalis + Flaga (Neo recommended) + Stella (Destroy) - Overkill overload. Neo has an ace pilot burst, which gives added explosions during burst mode, as if the Physalis doesn't give enough boom already with its Air SP and 2-gauge SP.
