With Tsunku being so talented and all and Yaguchi being really popular (mixi 10th place for example!) I wonder why he hasn't pushed Yaguchi to make a single.... Or anything more.... Or is it still such a bad thing the way she resigned MM? I dunno...

Maybe it's because when she left it was amid scandal and she never got to debut as a soloist or even be classified as one. Now there's been a bit too much time since her time in Momusu that releasing a single as a soloist might seem a bit weird and there isn't that hype and anticipation that would normally be there when a Momusu gradute goes solo.
Or maybe she's just really happy where she is now as a Variety Idol and has no aspirations to have a solo singing career.

I don't think the "scandal" thing is an issue anymore at all. She is frequently MCing at H!P events, but she just doesn't have a solo career in the usual (neglected) H!P sense.

As far as I know, she seems to have tried to distance herself from the idol-past, and is always slightly embarrassed when some of old stuff like PBs, Minimoni videos etc are brought up. For instance, when interviewing Hugh Jackman (X-Men, Wolverine) on Yaguchi Hitori, she blurted out that she was a "variety idol", but quickly tried to find another way of putting it

I don't think she wanted that title, but it has stuck with the fans

Anyway, I'm pretty sure she enjoys the more low-profile life of a regular tv-celeb than the whole idol-thing.

There are more artists in H!P than Yaguchan not having a solo singing career. Like Keichan for example

After thinking this, I think I'd actually rather her do the TV side of things more. She is still singing at events, which is still a good thing, so we get the best of both worlds

But already when she was in MoMusu and MiniMoni she was appearing on TV a lot. The current members of MoMusu are also seen on TV a lot. I'd like her to do both ^^' Too much to ask?

That's true... But still if you consider the 100% interviews with MoMusu (I think, or was it Best of Japan?) anyhow, she said that she'd probably still be singing i 20 years. But I guess interests change... Too bad But she can do what she wants, still she sings every now and then. It's a shame that Uta Doki ended! There was a lot of Yaguchan there!

the way I see it, yaguchi already has alot.......guest shows and bein a host, also the elder club. if she wanted to start singing again dats just adding more to the schedule for the poor girl so, im fine wit the way she is cause at least shes active.
