Many thanks, Saeba!Still saddened that there aren't more Chisato Moritaka fans here. Maybe this will help for those that don't fully know the H!P connections
I'd already seen all of those connections you mentioned, except Shibata's and Maimi's cover versions.

But thanks anyway, Saeba!
I like the melodies!
And Moritaka-san's vocals never fail to charm me...

A little bit of patience, a little bit of luck and an eye trained to home in on any pics of her (in this case the pics in the related video section).^ Wow! How did you manage to find those? Their tags and titles are so obscure...
Also found the clip of her being crowned the Pocari Sweat Image Girl.
And a treat for old school music lovers, Chisato and Yoko Oginome (the two reigning dance queens back then) singing Locomotion together.

Ah yes, I guessed as much... I used to be able to do that for Old-School/Gold Era H!P videos, but nowadays I'm getting a bit lazy...A little bit of patience, a little bit of luck and an eye trained to home in on any pics of her (in this case the pics in the related video section).
Oh, thanks so much!!!Also found the clip of her being crowned the Pocari Sweat Image Girl.
That's the exact same one I saw a few months ago; and over a month ago, I thought it had disappeared, which is why I posted this:
even the other "Pocari Sweat Image Girl" contest clip (where we can see her being crowned) seems to have disappeared too...
Thanks for that too, Saeba! But I thought by then (early 1990s), Moritaka-san had already become the undisputed Dance Queen? And a treat for old school music lovers, Chisato and Yoko Oginome (the two reigning dance queens back then) singing Locomotion together.
Also, I think I can see why Moritaka-san could easily become more popular than Oginome, i.e. Moritaka-san was simply prettier and more talented and naturally charming...

which would be in 1991 at the earliest... perhaps that video with Oginome was just a one-time collaboration, and the producers decided to use Moritaka-san's breakthrough single?

Only problem now is her 1995 performance of 二人は恋人(Futari wa Koibito) has been deleted.
Edit- Refound her Futari wa Koibito performance. Kouhaku post updated.

Here's something of interest for those fans, Chiasto Moritaka at a charity event for the Hanshin earthquake victims. This is where she met her future husband Yosuke Eguchi (the guitarist dressed in red/burgundy).

This one I first watched on YouTube many months ago, but it seems to have disappeared from there.Chisato Moritaka watching clips of her singles (from New Season to Sweet candy)

The clips of her singles were actually shown from latest (Sweet Candy) to earliest (New Season), and I found myself liking her and her songs more and more as the singles progressed towards her earlier ones!

What caught my attention was the first name of the character she played - Sachiko - which also happens to be the real first name of ZARD's Sakai Izumi (Kamachi Sachiko) and Wink's Suzuki Sachiko, 2 of my favourite J-pop artistes!a drama where it looks like she's a tour guide.

I particularly enjoy The Stress; I like it more than Nacchi's version.
I bought a few of her songs from iTunes recently.. Later, I plan to buy actual CDs.
