Still saddened that there aren't more Chisato Moritaka fans here. Maybe this will help for those that don't fully know the H!P connections

Nacchi -
Minimoni -
Reina & Koharu (w/ BK & C-ute) -

Many thanks, Saeba! :D

I'd already seen all of those connections you mentioned, except Shibata's and Maimi's cover versions.

One more connection to H!P that I totally forgot about, she wrote the lyrics for Country Musume's first 2 singles ( + the b track for single #2). Can't find videos for 雪景色 (Yukigeshiki) the second single but there is a video for the first one, 二人の北海道 (Futari no Hokkaido).

A couple of her less popular songs for those that don't have her albums.
青い海 (Aoi Umi) from her Pepperland album -
叔母さん (Obasan) from Rock Alive and My Favorites -

^ Wow! :sob: How did you manage to find those? Their tags and titles are so obscure...

But thanks anyway, Saeba! :sob:
I like the melodies!
And Moritaka-san's vocals never fail to charm me... :sob:

A little bit of patience, a little bit of luck and an eye trained to home in on any pics of her <3 (in this case the pics in the related video section).
Also found the clip of her being crowned the Pocari Sweat Image Girl.

And a treat for old school music lovers, Chisato and Yoko Oginome (the two reigning dance queens back then) singing Locomotion together.

Ah yes, I guessed as much... I used to be able to do that for Old-School/Gold Era H!P videos, but nowadays I'm getting a bit lazy... :D

Also found the clip of her being crowned the Pocari Sweat Image Girl.

Oh, thanks so much!!! Posted Image
That's the exact same one I saw a few months ago; and over a month ago, I thought it had disappeared, which is why I posted this:

even the other "Pocari Sweat Image Girl" contest clip (where we can see her being crowned) seems to have disappeared too... :D

And a treat for old school music lovers, Chisato and Yoko Oginome (the two reigning dance queens back then) singing Locomotion together.

Thanks for that too, Saeba! But I thought by then (early 1990s), Moritaka-san had already become the undisputed Dance Queen?

Also, I think I can see why Moritaka-san could easily become more popular than Oginome, i.e. Moritaka-san was simply prettier and more talented and naturally charming...

^ Going by the songs (17 Sai & Locomotion) my guess is that the video is from 1989 just when Chisato took over the Dance Queen title.

^ You might be right... but to me, she looks slightly older, and closer to her looks in this video:

森高千里-この街

which would be in 1991 at the earliest... perhaps that video with Oginome was just a one-time collaboration, and the producers decided to use Moritaka-san's breakthrough single? ^_^

Her 1993 Kouhaku performance of 私の夏 (Watashi no Natsu) has finally been uploaded :)

Only problem now is her 1995 performance of 二人は恋人(Futari wa Koibito) has been deleted. :bad:

Edit- Refound her Futari wa Koibito performance. Kouhaku post updated.

Where are all the Chisato Moritaka fans. ^^;
Here's something of interest for those fans, Chiasto Moritaka at a charity event for the Hanshin earthquake victims. This is where she met her future husband Yosuke Eguchi (the guitarist dressed in red/burgundy).

Here I am! :good:

And here're my new favourite Moritaka vids of 道 (Michi) and 雨 (Ame):

It's good to have you back faraithi.
Here's some more videos to enjoy.

This one I first watched on YouTube many months ago, but it seems to have disappeared from there.
The clips of her singles were actually shown from latest (Sweet Candy) to earliest (New Season), and I found myself liking her and her songs more and more as the singles progressed towards her earlier ones!

^ I saw that before but that was during your "absent" period so I didn't post it here. There was another video of one of her old dramas floating around where she was on a bike and fell, but I can't seem to find the YT link for that now. And there's also a drama where it looks like she's a tour guide.

What caught my attention was the first name of the character she played - Sachiko - which also happens to be the real first name of ZARD's Sakai Izumi (Kamachi Sachiko) and Wink's Suzuki Sachiko, 2 of my favourite J-pop artistes! :)

I've recently become a fan, thanks to a suggestion by someone in Japan.

I particularly enjoy The Stress; I like it more than Nacchi's version.

I bought a few of her songs from iTunes recently.. Later, I plan to buy actual CDs.

Love&Peace
