Namie's new vidal sasson cm was released this week and her new cms are so pretty!! I think the songs in the cms will be her new singles.

Here's an update to the public image satisfaction polls That namie topped.
Here's a picture in order that topped to polls. I posted that Namie topped the polls but heres a picture of who was in the top 20. Also Yamapi, Ayu, Utada hikaru, koda kumi, Nanako, Aoi miyazaki, and mika nakashima, & others top the 20. Congrats to them especially Namie. I think the poll was the top 100 but they only show the top 20.



More news about Namie - Namie was at a fashion show in milan. Namie was a VIP. As always Namie looks gorgeous and Namie's hair is so shiny!

Namie is no.1 on the recent CDTV poll 'Fashion Leader' female category. Behind her is Ayumi Hamasaki #2 and Koda Kumi #3

Anyway, it's been a while since I really listened to Namie. I don't think I really even listened full-out to "Dr.". I've been resenting her being so lame-oh making hip-pop hit after hip-pop hit that just sounded too much the same (for what, more than 5 yrs now!), but now I'm coming to just enjoy and appreciate it. I just really miss her old TK hits...still nothing touches more emotionally than "Can You Celebrate". maybe it's just a little bit of an issue for me with the whole electric-hip-pop thing and too many flashing lights. I just want to hear Namie sing without the use of synthesizers/hard beats for once...-)

Well Ive managed to get a first press copy, which arrived today, and I love it I didn't get the poster though cos I didn't pre-order. Did you?

I absolutely love the album There's only one or two songs I don't remember that well (Shut Up and First Timer), but it really is amazing. One of the best albums I've ever heard. I can't even pick highlights of the album

I used to think the same as you until I learned more about Namie from her biography on wikipedia. Its amazing how she managed to remain one of the top artists in Japan despite a ton of challenges all happening pretty much at once at the peak of her career (pregnancy, mother's murder, divorce etc.).

Most artists can only dream of getting at least one number one release every year for 14 years in a row. Not to mention all this was achieved with the huge responsibility of being a single mother as well. I think she's inspirational.


Anyway, her new single is coming out in 2 days, and I'm hoping it will make this year her 15th year in a row with a release at number one!
