The song (S&T) is an old Tokito Ami song, who's on the same label as most of you know. Sounds pretty much exactly the same as on the Ami album.. Makes me sort of sad that Tsunku recycles his work. I was hoping that he'd start off with something completly new.

Though I must admit the girls look cute. It's going to be fun to see what Tsunku will do with them, and hopefully the next song won't be a cover.

Actually, the song wasn't covered by Ami Tokito. The song was sung by another group in the early 1990's. they disbanded in 2001 though. The groups name was called 南青山少女歌劇団.

After 3 singles, 3 Single Vs, one mini album and one single in the making (while I am posting this), it is pretty obvious that this Nice Girl Project unit is here to stay and, apparently, they could use a thread of their own for their frantic wota fans to post.

Her solo performance of "Doukyuusei ~Osae Kire nai Natsu no Koi!" (Track #6 on their mini album) is so bloody good! She sounds as powerful as Maki Goto In fact, this song could easily have been a Maki Goto single!

I've listened those tracks you gave.. they sounded ok, not awful and not boring either, but after listening to C-ute and Berryz, Canaria still has alot of work to catch up to those 2. From those 3 tracks I also think Hatsukoi Image was the best. I imagine them dressed up like Momusu in Mr.Moonlight since it has that 60's retro sound to it.

'Hatsukoi Image' just features the youngest member I believe (or the 2 youngest). The rest just do the backing vocals. It was the B-side to 'Faith!'

If you want to hear the true vocalists for CC check out, as Alienpyon said, 'Doukyuusei ~Osae Kire nai Natsu no Koi!' (Mana's solo) and 'FOREVER ~ Anata ni Aitai' (Ayumi & Yurie's duet). Mana is one of the youngest in the group, yet she sings as good as the top H!P vocalists, a true talent. Ayumi and Yurie are the two oldest members, who are also fine singers, as good as the best in H!P.

CCs songs so far haven't really showcased their voices, they've been very choirish. I feel that if they adopt more of a MM vibe, with lots of solo lines etc with some decent songs, they can be really great. They certainly have the talent. From their upcoming single cover, it looks like it may be a different type of song than they've done before.
