Welcome to Hello Morning Direct Downloads

This is a new thread for direct downloading Hello! Morning episodes. Seems alot of Waseem's sendspace links had expired and became dead in the original HM download thread. Many of the filesharing services have their limitations. (Sendspace deletes files after 7 days of inactivity. Although Waseem had a paid account, many of the links have become dead. Mediafire is unreliable and had managed to lose/delete the files that many of us had painstakingly uploaded to the Missing Episodes page as well.). The plan here is to start over and upload most of the files to Megaupload which seems to be the most reliable filesharing service as of yet.

Remember, this is a team effort. So please feel free to contribute to the effort.

Tips For Downloading From Megaupload
First, sign up for their free account. Megaupload is reliable, but they limit your DL speed, the amount of DLs you can make, etc, with a free account. There are a few ways around these limitations. EDIT: A nice plug-in/add-on called DownloadThemAll if you're using Firefox. Helped increase DL speeds significantly when I tested it

1. Tricks/Methods For Bypassing These Limitations: You can try bypassing these limits by going to the animebreaker site mentioned in this other thread and use some of the tricks/methods mentioned at that site. But Be Warned. I've recently heard a horror story from someone who've tried one of these tricks. Messed up their computer and not able to DL from megaupload anymore . So do this at your own risk.

2. Get a Premium Account For A Month?: Probably the safest way to do things? For the price of a fast-food meal, you have one month where you get to do unlimited DLs, enjoy much faster DL speeds, parallel (multiple) DLs at once, no waiting time between DLs, etc. Enough time to DL all of these H!M eps. A Free Account has monthly download limits. (Not exactly sure what the limits are since it's not spelled out exactly). Also severe DL speed limits, waiting time before you can DL a file, waiting time between DLs, etc. Premium vs Free Acct.

Tips For Downloading From Veoh
Things have changed a bit, ever since veoh has been pushing this 'VeohTV' thing. Used to be you simply installed their software manager and you were able to start downloading things. Now I'm told in order to DL the full-length video, you might need to install VeohTV first. (Check their FAQ section for details. You might not need to install VeohTV). In any case, once that's done, just go to the page for the video and you'll see a "Download Options" link (next to the 'Watch on VeohTV' blue tab). Click on the link and this opens up a menu. You should see a 'Download Video' blue tab. Click on that tab and your veoh manager will open up and automatically start DLing the file. The veoh manager will also show the progress of your download. (Some ppl say they have to do everything thru the VeohTV interface to make it work)

Tips For Downloading From The Tracker
I've started batch uploads via the tracker. In case you're only interested in DLing some of the files on the batch list and not all of the files, there's usually a simple way to control/select the files you want to DL with your torrent client/software. The batch I post usually has around 10 files, but you should be able to select/unselect which file(s) you want to DL. OR you have a slow connection and you want to DL one episode at a time because you don't wanna wait forever to start seeing the vids. You can first DL the one you wanted to see first, then DL the other files on the list later in small increments.

5. HM Veoh List - Veoh has gone back to being able to DL the original good quality videofiles . Quite a number of these eps you'll find on veoh are subtitled. (They'll often say it's subtitled)

^ Good point. Whether it was sendspace or mediafire or any such file sharing service, there were always limits to the actual file upload sizes as well. So it always meant splitting one of my 800MB HM episodes into several rar files (each smaller than 500MB) and then uploading them. Then folks would download those rar files and then extract it via WinRar. That was the typical way it was done (check Missing Ep page) . So I guess we just need to remind folks to do this in the same way with Megaupload so that most ppl (who won't have a premium account) can downlaod stuff. Just making sure we all upload files broken up into sizes smaller than 500mb. I recently had to split a big file into smaller rar files (each smaller than 500mb) and upload them to megaupload so that others could download it (who didn't have a premium acct). There's at least a multi-upload function at megaupload. Either way, it takes a long time to do all this. The spliting of the files can take 30 minutes or more, the upload, especially with megaupload's speed limited to 50kb/sec (as opposed to mediafire's 400kb/sec) takes couple of hours.

When splitting files with WinRAR, you can choose the "Store" compression method, which is no compression at all, just splitting the file. This will be a lot faster than the default setting. Video files are already compressed so they can't be compressed much.

Hm didn't know megaupload had a upload speed cap.

don't forget the fact that you need to wait like an hour before you can download something else.
so if it is spilt in 2 files ( which would normally not be the case since most are 380MB? ) it will take you 1 or 2 hours waiting time >.<

I don't have a premium account, but I use Megaupload's toolbar. It allows me to at least upload (from what I've seen) up to 80kb/s, even while I'm torrenting some more Hello! Morning from Hello!Online. It also renews download limits so you don't get the 1-2 hour wait time. The only "spyware" effect you can't turn off is its 404 error page replacement.

I'm looking at episode 149, and it's 669 MB. Shall I split it?

xiahou_yuan, download waiting time is that bad, huh? To be honest, I've been doing alot of uploading of files to megaupload to share stuff with folks. But haven't done that much downloading from it, so not really that familiar with megauplaod's "downloading experience". fwiw, it's true alot of the subbed eps circulating around tend to be the low-quality ones that are less than 500MBs, especially for the early years. But they start going up to 800MB and over 1GB per ep especially during the latter years. (fwiw, some of us have alot of eps that size even for the early years as well. Good quality files often DLed from Japanese sites so they're not subbed).

Honki, you mentioned the Megaupload Toolbar. Hmmm....The only thing I don't care about is that Alexa seems to get installed with this. There's been this long debate regarding Alexa as being spyware. I haven't installed the toolbar yet. Wonder if it has the option NOT to install Alexa.

GOOD NEWS, maybe? (Knock on wood). Lately it seems the videos getting downloaded from VEOH are the original avi's and mpg's

Lately it seems that Veoh has gone back to the way it used to operate. i.e. being able to download the original good quality avi or mpg video files that were uploaded. Lately I've noticed I'm downloading the original good-quality avi or mpg files. (As many of you know, for awhile, Veoh switched to this very unpopular move where ppl could only download smaller poor-quality flash flv files (and you could only download the orignal vidoefiles from a few Pro-user accounts). BUT, like I said, I've noticed lately that the files getting downloaded are the original good-quality vid files. Hopefully that's the case across the board, knock on wood.

Start around the very end of the list (around Page 62 currently and keep going forward). Their are alot more HM eps on Veoh than there are on stage6.

Edit: EVEN BETTER ADVICE: Check out these 2 links (that's also currently on my sig below). The 2 links will take you to a thumbnail directory of H!M eps on veoh. This way you won't have to wade thru the huge list of other programs.

Or do a HM search yourself on Veoh and try downloading some eps. Let me know what you're seeing. (You can always immediately check your Veoh folder on your computer to see what type of videofile is getting downloaded. Hopefully it's the original avi or mpg, etc. If it shows a "flv" extension, then you know you're stuck with a flash file. But like I said, lately it seems I'm able to DL the original files).

Grab as many eps as you can before Veoh ever decides to change their minds again.

^ I have been downloading from veoh lately ( 2-3 weeks ) and I only had 2 flv files, the rest was Avi some other extensions too.

^ That's good news. . So most weren't flv files, but were the originals. I tested them a week ago and only got a flv file, but tonight I was only getting the original avi or mpg files after 11 different downloads of various programs (and they were pretty big files. All around 500MBs). (fwiw, I even test-downloaded a H!M episode just to see what would happen, and it was the original avi file). I mentioned this on the original HM download thread tonight, and it seems one of the members immedialtely went to veoh and was able to download quiet a bit of HM eps in the original format. Could be a temporary thing where Veoh tries to be "generous' for awhile. Or hopefully they just got tired of all of the complaints they were getting from their members about the flv files, and went back to how things used to be (knock on wood) . I guess we'll just have to see if it'll last.

I find on veoh that sometimes the good quality AVI files sometimes play really strangely. The play fine, then suddenly freeze for like 10 seconds, the mouth and picture are out of sync then picture speeds up then everythings fine again. Strange!
