^Yeah, I know a lot of cracked versions these days are capable of fooling Microsoft into thinking they're 'real' lol.XD I know most laptop users would be forced to have 'real' Windows. Either that or a Mac. Or these days, even Linux.

Why would laptop users be forced to use a real copy of Windows? It's not like you use different versions on laptops... :(

^My bad. What I actually meant was 'forced to buy' because at one time most of the laptops here came pre-installed with Windows. Now I'm seeing more and more offering free DOS though.

Other, Being a Linux user, I use Amarok, and I love it. Hopefully the foobar developer will make his application open source one day, as it's probably the best Windows music player (customisability, ASIO/KS support etc).

Winamp, mainly.
Stream my aznv.tv with it and I like the nifty control add-on for Firefox.

Had a major this transition month players-wise. 1st it was vlc to MPC + CCCP as I like to usually play music videos or PVs instead of just mp3s and vlc keeps having its normal window popping up in fullscreen mode blocking the view of the videos. Also, somehow it hangs when playing .mkv files when my RAM is a bit strained. So far MPC, so good <3.

Yeah, that was a bit off-topic, now to go back on. With that video player sorted, I also have just installed and customized foobar2000. Getting bored of Winamp as both run on roughly the same amount of memory but foobar2k has its full customisation on while Winamp is on classic + lite mode. Boring...so still testing foobar2k to see if I will keep it.

Now both of my players look like this!

Left is MPC(standby) and right is foobar2k.

PS. How do I audio mod foobar2k? I used the MAD + ASIO/Kernel plug-ins for my Winamp and was wondering if the same can be done for foobar2k and how? Thanks in advance! (Might need a play-by-play though, hehe)

I just installed ASIO4ALL, added it into the ASIO Virtual Devices under Output, then selected it as the Output Device. Btw, I also recommend looking out for a DSP called Noise Sharpening. Even if you don't like DSPs in general, I guarantee this one's worth checking out. Exclusive to Foobar too.XD

I have found out about that and the forum where I got it from recommended it to be set at 40%. What are you running it at?

Well currently mine's at 60%. But there's no real 'recommended' setting. It all depends on how your system is set up, so my advice to you is to just fiddle around with it till it sounds just right. :good:

Oh yeah, before I forget, if you like using headphones a lot, I recommend getting the ATSurround Processor DSP. The 'Headphones' preset on it helps avoid the music sounding like it's coming from inside your head, so it's good for listening for long hours without your ears starting to hurt. There's a couple of other DSPs for headphones, but that's the one I'm currently using.

I use iTunes, because my playlists are nice and organized here..
Does anyone know what's a good Equalizer for listening to some of C-ute and Berryz upbeat songs?

sirik - Snap on the Audio player, though I use SMPlayer for video. Same thing basically, since both SMPlayer and GNOME Media Player (gmplayer) are just GUI's for mplayer.
