Hm it was a theme for the inazuma eleven video game the girls where featured in. Since it was only being used for a video came and not the ending of the anime itself, why waste it for a single. 
Though I'll be honest I think Berryz has some of the strongest album songs. Very solid all around.

UGH no and I don't like that they did either. This is honestly the one Berryz song (and their last three new songs) I kind of want untouched. Since it's such a "berryz" feel song. 
Plus no one can even dream of bringing to this song what berryz brought.

Does anyone know if the video for Semi exists on a DVD?  I have it from their Switch On! concert DVD, but it's played in the area with crowd reactions, etc... was it part of any Maxi DVD single release maybe??  I have a couple of their DVD compliations plus their Blu Ray File collection and its not on them.  Thanks.

As far as I am aware it's only on the concert DVD's. 

Seems like someone just took it into their own hands to edit it a bit.

You beat me to it... I was about to add an "edit" realizing someone probably just changed the audio track... it was obviously made for the concert venue as a bonus with the text typing, etc. (I imagine).  It's just that Semi had better production quality than the rest as far as the studio shoot, so it mislead me to believe there was an official MV.

hm Yeah could have been because it was Maiha's last concert or some jaz like that. Or maybe because it was the first. I think Berryz Kamen is their best one in terms of production value.

Honestly it's to this day one of my favorite concerts. (But it doesn't help I'm a sucker for 7nin C-ute)
I really want another group to do something along the lines of Berryz Kamen again. It was such a fun little side gig. 

(kind of hope jk ninja girls become a thing for Kobushi but it probs won't)
