Okay, I can be kinda clueless and haven't been paying a whole lot of attention to this stuff lately.  But it seems for a number of months Hello! Project has only been posting partial MVs on Youtube.  Did I miss something?

Judging that on Tsubaki's upcoming cd single got full MV's uploaded to their YT channel.

It feels like they've reworked their digital policies for the new year. Even performances are getting cut short, and the number of them have been reduced by quite a bit.

I don’t think there is a pattern to be honest with you. At least not for album songs. Despite “Morning Coffee (20th Anniversary Version)” and “Hana ga Saku Taiyou Abite” both being included on “Hatachi no Morning Musume” they were released first as digital singles and neither of the music videos for those songs are included on the DVD part of the album. The only way to watch them in full is to download them from iTunes. If the music videos for those songs had been included on the “Hatachi no Morning Musume” DVD it might’ve been a different story.

Ah I really enjoyed that 2oth anniversary special, from current members Maa-chan and Maria were the best! and from the OG 4th gen was really awesome, specially Yossy hahaha, I really want them to create a variety show when we get to see more of the girls personalities and interactions with OG members... I feel the same way that I felt after watching the audition show, that we really need a new more entertaining show.

 

Really getting irritated with the short MVs, I thought that after Tsubaki we would start getting full MVs again...

It is yes. I meant that album songs aren’t included in that pattern because “Morning Coffee (20th Anniversary Version)” and “Hana ga Saku Taiyou Abite” were released first as digital singles and the music videos for them aren’t included as part of the DVD that came with the Limited Edition version of “Hatachi no Morning Musume” so they basically just count as digital singles.

Okay, this is making some sense.  I've been used to MM putting out a series of MVs in the late summer/fall and then a second batch around late winter/spring with Juice+Juice and ANGERME releases staggered around and with these offerings.  I noticed in the winter the ANGERME offerings were partial MVs then these Musume shorties got me paranoid.  But sure enough, there are all digital/DVD releases.

After all the birthdays in February it means that we now have 10 members that are 18+ and 12 that are 17+ atm

This means we need to have at least 10 graduations in the next 7 years or 12 in the next 8 to not have someone in the group that's older than 25.

And at least means that neither Haga nor any other member that's added with the next generations will be allowed to graduate in that period of time.


That being said I have no doubt there'll be a graduation announcement at the spring tour for the end of the year. But as long as it's not a double graduation already it won't make these numbers any less intriguing.


Also with the school graduations coming up a few weeks from now the majority of MM members won't be students anymore. I'm pretty sure this means new auditions. Otherwise the only ones still being in school after next spring will be Yokoyan, Maria and Haga. Out of school Musume seems unlikely?

I don't want new members until 2019... for me, MM is at just around the max number of members it should have.

Also, the trend seems to be to add slightly older girls to MM, so even if new members are added, I wouldn't expect them to be 12 or 13 for sure
