I'm not too sure what'll happen to Morning Musume within the next 77 years, so I'll give out some basic predictions for them should the world not be destroyed at any point before 2097:

sometime between 2040 and 2097 morning musume and akb48 merge to create the most powerful idol group in history

And membership in the merged MoMusu/AKB group will become hereditary - the only way to join the group will be to be born into it.

I don't know if it was discussed here lately, but do we know anything about how much an idol make?
I guess the popular members make more money and that it varies from member to member, but did someone from H!P talked about their income?
I found something from 2014, no clue if this is legit. https://snsd-ffa.liv...com/139109.html
The source of this top 50 list is Exciting Max! Magazine.
These were the rankings of Morning Musume girls in that list
29. Mizuki Fukumura, Morning Musume, $167,790
22. Riho Sayashi, Morning Musume, $236,880
14. Haruka Kudo, Morning Musume, $325,710
7. Sayumi Michishige, Morning Musume, $454,020

But isn't that what makes up most of their earnings?
They have a base salary and added to that is income from photo books, tv/magazine appearances, ads etc.

It's cultural difference. In Japan, a person will not receive good perception if he/she is chubby (not even fat). I know it's a controversial topic, but it's true that most Japanese are not OK with being chubby. I dare assure you that even with good singing, good dancing, interesting personality on TV shows, Akane-chin still receives complain about weight if she doesn't lose some. Zukki did try to counter that with her interesting personality but what she received was still negative comments about her weight. They associate chubbiness with unhealthiness. It's sad to hear, but most of seem to obsess with being thin, and even skinny (which most Western people never consider healthy at all)

Also, in Japan lots of people relate chubbiness with lack of discipline, and this doesn't fits with his idea of an idol. Probably they didn't see Kanon totally spliting her legs and so showing she was in a great shape like any other member then.
