Thanks for your help. I was just talking about how Dailymotion don't have a "play" and "pause" buttons, and you can't go forward or back. The video just start and you can't control anything, even the sound volume.

You can control it. Drag left and right on top of the video to seek, tap to pause.

DailyMotion does have “play” and “pause” buttons though. You have to hover your mouse over the video for them to appear. As for how to adjust the volume all you have to do is hover your mouse over the speaker icon in the bottom right hand corner of the video and the volume bar will appear enabling you to adjust the volume of video to a level that better suits you

I'll note that on occasion I also have issues with dailymotion depending on the combination of browser or adblock updates where the videos will become uninteractable objects. It's not consistent and usually it works perfectly when everything is fully up-to-date, but sometimes I still only get it to work on one browser but not another. That's one of the reasons I often save dailymotion as a last alternative for viewing something if I can't find my DVD or a youtube alternative. It's still better than nothing and I can usually get it to work most of the time between one browser or another, but as with most things, usually I have the best luck with the Opera browser.

yeah with each update the interface just gets more and more broken especially on a touch device. but at least we are actually getting smooth playback now.

 

i recall even as recent as 1-2 years back i will be forced to choose 480p because it would simply not buffer properly at any higher resolution

 Oh, I use Mozilla Firefox and have that problems. But as you said, it's always better than nothing.

I know youtube is still not as popular then but its amazing that OTT did not make it into the top 10 for 1 and 2 million.

Definitely. The quality of singles lately has made my fandom wane significantly. Wagamama/Ai no Gundan still holds up really well, as does OTT. I wish they'd do more like that.

i think utakata reached a million in 9 days.
maybe Jinsei Blue is able to break the record, its near 300k with just over a day
