Yes, you're right. Hikimori mean people who really love to spend a time at home and not like to go outside.

That's sure nice news to people like me who aren't exactly the social type =P Obviously calling her a hikkamori was Aichan exaggerating, presumably joking about her preferring to stay in (the actual condition of being a Hikkamori is quite a bit more extreme than simply preferring to stay indoors).

Rika does, quite several times, hanging out with her groupmates.

I got the impression that Rika does go outside but only if there's someone with her. She prefers if the other person does the leading in her outings since she's afraid of having someone retaliate against her(like a dirty glare) or judge her by what she does.

But I guess in a way it does make sense.
It seems the girls are always running during the day.
