A belated happy 28th birthday to Maasa! 

On July 4 she had three FC birthday talk events.

Mamawota report the third event was especially devoted to Berryz talk. She is looking forward to being 'grandmother' to Rii's second child. / Fun times with Kumaichan, recently celebrating the 18th anniversary of Hello Pro Kids with her, saying Yurina is her best friend and an "irreplaceable person". / Talked about the respect the members had for Saki-chan's leadership, and joked about the description of Berryz Kobo as being a "group of barbarians". / She shared memories of her audition, and thoughts about all of the other Berryz. / If she wasn't doing her current work, she would like to work in a bakery. She also said she enjoyed playing sports like volleyball when she was in school, so she might have liked to have done something related to sports. / In the other events she answered questions that were submitted by fans, talked a lot about her beloved Detective Conan, and even shared her opinions on various brands of yogurt (one of her current obsessions, it seems). / For stageplays in the future, she would like to play more villains, and "a role with some sex appeal". On July 22-24 Maasa will appear in Reading Drama: Delusional Female Murder Case Spin-off/ Victims Don't Dance, with Maimi, Nacky, and Captain.

August 19-23 she will work in the stageplay Wisdom, Hope, and Evil Mushrooms.

In October (delayed from June) she will be the star of the Team B performances of the play Peace of Clan- Seven Stars Symphonia.

@Honeybear: Thanks for posting the link to the movie. I decided to watch it for the sake of Maasa. Not too bad, this is my first time watching Maasa in a proper acting role and there is no doubt her acting skills is natural.

 Oh, she is. And a big girl too, you can think she is that until you see her acting and realize she is the cutest beauty you can ever find.

 

 Also I love the male character's parents. Loving him, guiding him but never forcing him until he is ready to learn things himself.

Nothing. She was a minor member of a group ten years ago. This event is probably the most famous she will ever be.

I think this is a bigger scandal for the Johnny's member than it is for Maasa.

As for her, good for her! As Kumachan would say, "ENJOY!"

Japanese Beriwota on Twitter aren't saying much about the story, feeling it's her private life, hoping she's okay and wishing her happiness. And just kinda waiting to see what she might say about it. At the time I write this, she hasn't updated her blog or twitter since October 11 (she usually updates once or twice a day).

 

Tomorrow on October 17 Maasa begins her starring role in the play Peace of Clan. Wishing her the best.

Thanks! I guess she is trying to lay low abit. At the end of the day, while she is an adult and no longer leads an active idol life, I think she would want to avoid unnecessary talks if possible.
