It could also have something to do with them (partially) targeting kids that are still of the age of believing in Santa Claus.it kind of makes me wonder why so many of the girls said they still believe in santa...maybe they were "forced" to say that because of their "childish" image?

Well, the way their answers are phrased they do seem to give a heavy hint of "I'm kind of too old to believe in Santa, but I'm saying yes anyway." Which does kind of sound like they were told they needed to say yes, but if it's for the kids that honestly do believe in Santa, it's a bad thing to say, because then they're thinking, "Wait, why are they saying 'still' am I supposed to stop when I turn 13? Why?" I'd say it's more likely for the older fans to squeal and say, "Ahh, how CUTE they still believe in Santa!"It could also have something to do with them (partially) targeting kids that are still of the age of believing in Santa Claus.
Less cynically, it could just be that they don't believe in Santa, but they find Santa-belief a more fun answer.

exactly. even if they still believe in santa they should be confused why the question is "do you still believe in santa". but it's almost the same thing as religion...so it's still possible they really believe in santa. still i think it's weird that only maimi and erika said they don't believe in santa anymore....
edit: just saw this in the mai thread:
so it seems like mai "really" wondered why there is such a question6. Is Santa real or not?
Is he real? Is he not? I still think he's real.
anyways: here is one of my favorite videos...finally someone put it on youtube. it's from the stage play called "neru ko wa °c-ute". it's an awesome scene. saki is acting a creeped out girl. she does it so well. i get shivers down my spine everytime i watch it she is an awesome actor.
for those who haven't scene the dvd: they play that scene twice, but the second time you see everything from erika's point of view...you can still see saki on stage an she acts again so awesome even no one really looks at her.
here is the video of the first part:

Regarding the Santa Claus bit, what you two said is most likely true. I thought about that myself, actually, but I thought I'd bring up the secondary possibility... unfortunately, it wasn't that good.
My version at least sounds a little less like the big corporation just being wheely-dealy fatcats. (Though why I would ever try to paint such a picture is beyond me.)
Anyway, earlier, I saw Saki's episodes of C-ute Has Come. My favorite episodes so far, they were (shock! ). I keep finding myself reopening the first one and hearing her "Japan, no. America, no" line.

Hahaha... I wouldn't know how I would react if Maimi suddenly appears in my mirror might be a mixed emotion of shocked and excitedanyways: here is one of my favorite videos...finally someone put it on youtube. it's from the stage play called "neru ko wa °c-ute". it's an awesome scene. saki is acting a creeped out girl. she does it so well. i get shivers down my spine everytime i watch it she is an awesome actor.

I agree with you guys that Saki in this play did very well. Does she have any other acting project?

The picture and the video, even though I have no idea what she was saying.
Saki is also adorable in the Shouri no Big Wave video. There need to be more pictures from that.
12+ hours later edit: From that link, I found this video which I'd not seen before: Saki sings Hey Mirai on HPH
She did pretty well, I think. If they had the original background music for the song, I think it would've sounded even better.
I also had no idea that hula hooping was her specialty. I can't even do one hoop at once, and she did three because one is too easy for her, so I'm impressed.
