I had a general H!P kids question and it pretains (Sp?) to Airi also so I will ask it here.

The didn't seem to follow all little kid rules. I'm really silly tonight but oh well:

Didn't they ever lose teeth? (well i know they did but how come you see none of the with missing teeth? Even with the oldest ones I know I hadn't lost all my teeth by 5th grade)

I also wonder how you get a little girl Airi's age (when she auditioned) to stick with something like this. I know Airi has extreme dedication but you know what I mean. I think it is amazing

Generally, from what I've seen, when kids are about Airi's age, they're losing their molars rather than their front teeth. As for when she was younger, it was probably down to lack of exposure.
They also take steps to cover some things up, of course, like how Maimi had pimples on her lips once, but you didn't see them when she appeared on TV (at least... I don't think so).

As for Airi being quirky, she does act a bit goofy at times. Take, for example, that one video* (sorry, I can't find the link) where some of the girls are talking back stage and Airi kind of comes bouncing up with this "hey, what'cha guys doin?!" look on her face.

*All I remember is that it was old, Mai and Chisa seemed really confident, and Saki seemed really shy... Also that it was one of the cutest videos ever.

aw you mean the backstage from hello! day vol5...yeah that's cute but i wouldn't call it "quirky". at least the translation i found doesn't really fit in my opinion. for me that is cute and not "strange". airi is pure cuteness....especially because she is 13 (physically & mentally).
