I love these 3 aswell. Tanpopo was like the perfect sub-group. We had the cute (Mari), the sexy (Aya) and the beautiful (Kaori)!
About Last Kiss. The "ke" of "Kuchibiru ni daKE" seems a bit off to me in the original and the Ai, Eri, Reina version.

Here's one that got away from me: the first Tanpopo CD (1999) still in shrink-wrap went for $7. I was "watching" this and forgot to put in a bid. And no other copies of this even come close to this price. Oh well!

Agh unlucky. I've done that one a few times very annoying when you see you lost it. Sometimes i'll watch an item and wait because when i bid on things everyone feels the need to bid as well and drive up the price. If i don't bid then nobody else will unless somebody else bids first it's weird.

I think Tanpopo 1st generation was not only best subgroup of Morning Musume but also number one female group in Japan at that time regarding its lyrics, music and image. I still feel a bit sad. I wished they would have released a live concert. It would be so nice to hear the songs on the album performed live.

 

“Tanpopo 1“ is one of my all time favorite albums. Tsunku put such an effort to make this record sound so solid. It's a shame that the album did not receive the recognition it deserved.

 in fact, Sbirkoff, it was a right bet to take three great voices like Yaguchi, Iida and Ishiguro and mix them with great songs. So the three girls could bright more than in Morning Musume because other great voices and a lightly different style.
