Edit: Sorry--I looked Maimi up, there's only a one year difference. I don't know much about C-ute, and thought Maimi was younger. Sorry. Ignore my comment.

Its hard to tell, while thier voices might not match the harmonious styles of W, I can imagine 2 cute voices bouncing around back and forth, Im hoping this will be some really catchy sing along j pop

Me too. But their voices should sound at least somewhat well together, I mean, you can't put Makoto and Miki (sorry) in a group. Their voices wouldn't blend.

I don't think they're trying to specifically target older fans with this unit. If they did, they would simply be selling to the same crowd that is already H!P fans. In any case, they already have units targetting older fans. It would make sense to bring in new fans that would stick around for a while especially since some older fans may have left due to the recent scandals or simple loss of interest.

Correct. Since Koharu is Kira(rin) it more than likely is tied in with the anime and is targeted toward that audience.
But Mai as Pika... maybe she'll be appearing in the anime too?

Last time I heard Mediocre-chan, she was about as technically developed as Maimai, so there shouldn't be any problem.

When they're using the Kira image... and Koharu's fans are children mostly... why would they want to market to older fans at all?

Koharu's goodness is that she gets fresh, new, younger fans and helps slowly but surely defeat the "30 year old creepy guy" image that keeps teenagers from liking the H!P.
