Btw do you guys see Hinafes?? in latest KSS performance, i saw some members did great performance, in my opinion :

Kawamura Ayano : great performance, sharp dancing, good expression, decent vocal

Takase Kurumi : great vocals

Ichioka Reina : sharp dancing

Nishida Shiori : Good vocal

 

Somehow we have to wait for kenshuusei Recital show, to see who's gonna have a biggest chance to debut (Remember Kasahara Momona, Akiyama Mao last year)

^I haven't seen much of it yet but I'm happy to hear praises for Kurumi and Ichioka (them being my 2 favorites). I really look forward to their performances now.

^Pretty much what I gotten from that is the feeling of why haven't these girls debut yet? We can't have this much talent and not do anything with it. (Sorry if this is like the only thing I say in this thread these days.)

I think we're at a far higher standard than this throwback to 4 years ago and nearly everyone (with a few notable exceptions) ended up debuting. *crosses fingers*

I am still confident that a new Kenshuusei unit will be formed this year and I think that KSS might join Country Girls.
Skill and talent is without a doubt available plentifully.

I like older Kenshuusei performances very much, too. I don't think that they are better today, but different in their appeal.

I don't want to throw cold water on anyone's dreams, but I noticed a pattern of former idols not getting into MM from the KSS or otherwise. Not saying there isn't a chance, just a very longshot.

 

The good news is that there are other groups that these girls have the opportunity to debut in.

 

I'm still holding on to Reina debuting in H!P, she's the last of the 17th gen.

^ A new KSS unit is a far better chance to debut in my opinion...especially for former idols.

 

In regards to Morning Musume I still hope for Ruru and Reina to become MM's 14th gen, if they don't debut earlier.

Ah yes I should be more clearer, I mean more the skill level and experience compared specifically to that time. In the the end Sasaki was the signal of the change that came towards skimming off some of the best Indie/local Idol talent and people with a lot more prior training. Whether subjectively we like it more to see raw talent eventually rise to the top or already proven skill find their rightful place is a bigger question.

According to today's kenshuusei audition website's update none of the girls that applied until the 31st of March of 2017 passed the first screnning

Technically, Fujimoto was an idol when she joined but she's sort of an outlier, but yeah in terms of the last few generations, I've also seen this pattern where former street or local idols haven't really gotten into MM. That's why I'm not really holding much hope for Momohime, though you never know, maybe the ones not chosen haven't been the right ones at the right time.
