When I first saw Paul McGann in this mini episode I thought: 'Wow they really found a guy who looks like the 8th doctor!' and then I freaked out when his name appeared in the credits >w<

What a wonderful special! I won't say anything specific to avoid spoilers, but I did rather enjoy it.
Oh, and after you see Day of the Doctor, any classic series fan owes it to themselves to watch The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot, written and directed by Fifth Doctor Peter Davison, and starring him, Colin Baker, and Sylvester McCoy, with too many cameos to mention. The perfect end to the Anniversary.

Looking forward to Peter Capaldi. He knocked it out of the park in the Torchwood special "Children of Men".

Is everyone looking forward to the new season coming in a couple of weeks?
Also, I think it's been long enough that we can be less concerned with spoilers when voicing our opinions of the last few specials!
So I guess Capaldi is technically the first doctor in a new set of regenerations!

Its settling into a worthwhile series and Capaldi is fine-tuning the character.

Dunno, this season is a bit hit or miss for me.
The last episode about the dimensions was awesome.
The previous one, with the Orient Express, meh.
The moon one was great.
The one about the school meh again.
The one about the bank, great.
And so on lol
It seems we won't know much about this "paradise" thing until the very last two episodes. And unless they're awesome, this might turn out to be one of the weakest seasons since the comeback, IMO. :/

There is a bit of lackluster compared to the previous seasons, as though it hasn't picked up on a 'general' theme or main story apart from the whole paradise thing —looking forward to seeing how that will plan out the next episode makes me wonder if Clara will leave or not, though I did hear that she may leave during this series.

I was a bit worried that he would pick up a "Scooby Gang" with that "amusing" kid as a regular. Thankfully not.
BTW if he is so against soldiers why did he work for UNIT for years and pal around with the Brigadier?

Besides Mizura's point, I think it's only this Doctor that has problems with soldiers. 9 - 11 seemed fine with having soldiers around.

I think the Doctor always had a bit of an issue with soldiers (at least the New Who Doctors). I think his issue came from The Time War. (Plus, he's very anti-war in general, like how he won't use guns, and other Doctor's have asked not to be saluted.) I think it's always been there, but was made really strong with Capaldi's Doctor.
