This just in Aika won the Happy 8th audition and will be the newest member of Morning Musume. It's too early to tell what she'll contribute to the group, but I have fate she'll do well.

haha, nice move on the title, Evening Musuko! probably Monday evening, when ppl have downloaded & watched the H!M episode from the tracker, you can change it to "Aika Mitsui".

there really shouldn't be any arguments on whether Aika-chan should be chosen or not. Arugments should be made on why Tsunku chose only one!

disappointed as i am that Sumire-chan didn't get in, i still think Aika-chan really deserves to get in, purely because of her performance during the mini-gasshuku. while Ayami-chan looked impressive overall, as she did during previous H!M coverages, Aika-chan was simply a different person during the mini-gasshuku. singing well, dancing well, & most importantly, improving well. Tsunku likes to see someone who can improve at a good pace & Aika-chan did very well from 1st day to 2nd day.

adding to all that, she really is a sweety-pie, ain't she? :: :blush

Anyways.. Yeah her appearance.. Each time I watched her in the auditions, I couldn't help thinking "why does she look so dirty?"

Actually.. She kinda reminds me of a happier Aoki (from Musix Fighter). Maybe just her voice..

I hope Tsunku made the right choice!! Grats to Aika!!

I was really hoping for 2 or 3 new Musume. Not for a bigger group, but because I know how hard it is going to a new school with no friends. I'm sure MM will look after her, but after training camp, staring with a another newbie would have made things easier, IMO at least.

I'm trying to be as positive as I can but yeah....not too excited about the choice. I know the whole "old-lady" or "grandma-ish" voice and facial features of Aika are getting old but I still can't get past it. Just one of those things where you know what they look like when they turn 70.

However, I guess H!P can give her whole image an overhaul. After all, they made Kamei and Tsuji into very attractive girls now compared to when they first started.

Anyways, I really had my mind set on Sumire to win it all. *sigh*

Exactly what I'm thinking, at first I thought WTH THIS GIRL WON, but now I hope she proves everyone she has tha power to be awesome and throw that into our faces ::

I never really got interested in a certain person in the 8th auditions so I wouldn't be disappointed when someone got chosen. I knew it would be one person. So I am gonna give her a chance and just see what she comes out with. Congrats to her and good luck in MM.
