Hey, members!

Juz like to find out out how much is your obsession towards anime & Idol groups. To what extend you will reach to see your favorite anime character & idol? Like the Otakus? Willing to spend thousands of dollars investing on idol merchandise like cosplay costumes,mangas, figurines, idol & anime dvds etc. & fill your room with tons of their posters?

If u really are, Show off the pics of your room or other extreme pics u had taken.

I don't worship any anime cause i don't like them (same as mangas) n what about idols? I don't like to spend money on useless things so i'm buying dvds and cds only. all these posters and photobooks are unnecessary (in my opinion of course) - all I need is listening to them, i don't need to watch them at all

well people already say my hair is like anime characters, so yeh, has for idols, i will get a few poster, but mainly will be DVDs and CDs.

Absolutely I am not an otaku. I pretty thoroughly loathe fanboys and fangirls, and I know enough extreme members in several fandoms that I am sure, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that I don't want to be that way. Obsessive fans are pretty irritating to be around, and just generally kind of weird.

I take the Japanese meaning of otaku to mean "scary, creepy, obsessive fan with little or no personal skills" and most certainly would not want to be that way.

My interest in Japanese culture is much like many of my interests; something I take pleasure in, but not something which utterly dominates my life. I probably spend more time with my sewing, gardening, and definitely with my cycling habit. I don't listen to j-pop exclusively over any other genre of music, I don't watch Japanese TV shows or movies more frequently than other media, and I generally don't go around spouting off about my knowledge of Japanese culture (popular or otherwise) because I really don't feel that I know enough of anything to go around talking big.

Much like Greah, I won't buy posters, PBs, and knick-knacks, because for me, that stuff isn't interesting. I like Hello!Project for their light-spirited songs, oddball music videos, and energetic, cheerleader-esque performances. Therefore I'll buy CDs, and maybe a DVD or two, but none of the other crap. I'm not disposed to moon over pretty girls, and I'm a quite a lot too old for pop-star posters all over the place anyhow.

well, as for me..... i am in between number 1 n 2. i love anime, manga, games, idols but then again, i dun buy much of AF, or going into hardcore by putting posters on. got dvds, some idols PB, no manga or anime or game artbook. basically, low level otaku

When someone calls me an Otaku, I consider it an insault. So I just consider myself just a normal J-Fan. I try very hard to maintain a "normal" level of fandom. Unless you ask me about it, you'd never know I was a J-Fan at all. I do have posters, wallscrolls, shirts, keychains, cosplay, and a cute Naruto plushie in the back of my car, but I don't consider that "obsessive" I duno, many people might, but people I've known for awhile never knew I was so into all that stuff ::

Otaku is fundamentally a derogatory term, never a good thing to be. Its very hard to define what makes you what unless of course you areway to extreme. I guess i hang around the middle option.

Yes i certainly own stuff from photobooks, cd, dvds, cosplay :blush , posters and all kinds of novelty items etc. But is that obsesive ? i wouldnt say so otherwise the same logic could be applied to any collection. Which would make most collectors obsessive which is not the case (usually). Many of my friends collect things i wouldnt deem any of it obsessive.

My intrest in Japan fundamentally comes form an intrest in Ancient history and Mythology. In particular, Celtic, Egyptian, Greek, British and Japanese but theres no one area that im not intrested in.

wooo... those clips can be very scary in a way, well that worship crazy in the first clip, I wouldn't go to that extent and the other clips....I wouldn't do that, if I did it'll probably be once just to make a laugh or two :: by the way, who was the idol those dudes were worshipping? the song sounded familiar.. Fujimoto Miki? because I could hear her name being chanted a few times
ok.. I do like idols, burt not until that worship crazy limit, just supporting them by buying their dvds/cds/collectibles.. but I would take in a fortune in buying those figurines kits like gundam, s.i.c. kamen rider editions, those I take for a hobby...
i'm sorry but I have to say this, I would be making a great sin if I would be worshipping an idol just like from the first clip. Worshipping anything else than god, is like being very disgrateful towards god and showing how eager i'm going to hell.... sorry bout this I hope anyone doesn't get offended
