I like "Egao" a lot, but I also hope that the tone of the new album will be more upbeat (though please not back to the pop-corn of yesteryear).
And I agree, re-arrangements of old songs should be avoided as well.

Matsuura’s 5th Album: Double Rainbow

According to Netdirect, Matsuura Aya’s 5th studio album will be titled “Double Rainbow” and will be released on October 10th. The album will retail for 3,150 yen.

Indeed Kaitou, more singles (and PVs) would be great. After all the last release was February 2006! We had to wait 18 months for the new one!!
Oh, and the last photobook was March 2005!!!

Thats exactly why!
Its from the past! Back when Aya released a new album every year and single releases were common and all sold quite well!

Admittedly, its hard to be really annoyed because its not like she hasn't been doing anything, infact she's been quite busy...

Typo probably - at most if you counted the Best Album there are only 6 - the new one included. I really hope this album has more than a few upbeat songs.

Besides that, there is a difference between, let's say "Ki ga Tsukeba Anata" and "Egao". This "gap" will have to be filled in, somehow, in order to unify the overall sound of the album. This cannot happen with only slow songs and "Ki ga Tsukeba Anata". That would sound weird...

I think that single was "Egao", only it was delayed. But if ANY single was cancelled, it had better be in the new album!
