Obviously the inclination is to be disappointed in Maki, and one can be, but if the domestic abuse stuff is real (which I'm like 98% sure it is - that's not the kind of thing one usually "overexaggerates" and it sounds way too much like she's trying to save face for the sake of her family by blaming herself for "overexaggerating") then... well, ###### him. Two wrongs don't make a right, obviously, but domestic abuse is by far the worse of the two and that should be the real scandal here. Wishing the best for her in terms of being safe; hope she and the kids can get away sooner rather than later.
