Congrats, Aichan! I wish you all the best.
I must admit, though, a part of me always liked the idea that she wanted to wait. In a country where there seems to be a lot of focus on marrying and becoming a "proper member of society", I liked that Aichan had no rush and wanted to focus on her career rather than marriage and kids. Especially since many Japanese women find it hard to maintain a job while rasing a kid (kindergarten options aren't always readily available). I always disliked the way reporters seem to descend upon women in the Japanese entertainment industry with questions such as "by what age would you like to marry?", "do you have any marriage plans? Kids?" as if that has to be their biggest dream and ultimate goal in life. (Way to go perpetuating gender roles.)
That being said, this is clearly her decision, and I hope she'll be happy. I don't think we'll see her career slow down any time soon. So far she shows no signs of stopping!
Still excited for the 24th. Fingers crossed for a solo debut!
