While listening to the preview of Renai Destiny, I realized it reminded me a lot of Mou Gaman Dekinai Wa~Love ice cream~, which isn't a bad thing, but now I can't unhear it lol not sure if anyone pointed it out yet.
Both Tsunku lyrics, but different composers/arrangers.

The songs are not bad, just not really impressive.

A classic Morning Musume album

 

I think part of the album reminds me of 12, Smart actually. The raw energy of the younger members compared to the older member's voices gives an interesting feeling.

But I agree, none of the songs is really catchy or special. Certainly no Genki+, Fantasy ga Hajimaru or Namidacchi kind of song on this album.

 

Than again that's what I expected More power songs for the stamina monsters.

I never complain a lot but this time... i'm worried about the promo video of Renai Destiny ~ Is a black background and the girls perfoming is just that... 

I know the virus is affecting everything but i have the impression at upfront could have done better

Echoing others, songs sound ok, but not impressive. Only track 8 sounds fun enough to be excited for it. And there was no avoiding it, but it really sucks they included Seishun Night in the album... man, that song sucks! lol

I'm happy about the 1st song and allready in love about Konomama !!!

So yes it's not Genki+, Fantasy ga Hajimaru... but you choose some legendary songs here with a completly different style so i'm not sure we will have ever again that kind of music. We have to accept things changes and adds ( not replace) to old songs.

My only real desapointment is that they choose to add Lovepedia and Nigen here rather than Are you Happy and Free world.

Oh man, I didn't realize that some singles were missing! I'm kinda sad that Jiyuu na Kuni Dakara is missing then, bit I guess they're trying to keep this album with only the current members.
Has it ever happened that a single did not appear on an albulm?

Previews sound great to me. Already finding elements in each new song that I'm interested to hear more of. Really looking forward to the shuffle songs.

it's not the virus, Beyooooonds stole the budget with their MVs

I was speaking about the title of the CD, "That's J-pop", something you can give to someone who know nothing about j-pop, and in that regard "Are you happy" and "free world" deserved to be there.

For a second I thought My dream was the track Sakura is part of and I was like noooo. The preview for the first song is a bit okayish, I didn't like My dream, but I'm 100% interested in Konomama!

I do think Renai Destiny is THE BOP of the album. It has a lot of energy.

i'll have to give this to tsunku, this album does sound really coherent so far, and not just like a mix of songs thrown together randomly

I thought the songs sounded pretty good from the previews. It's rather unfair to compare them to old album tracks, that have had a long time to become beloved and treasured within the fandom, only based on short snippets.

 

It's weird they did not include the unit songs in the medley, but I assume they want to be super secretive about those and save the surprise for album release, which is a pretty good tactic.

Is this the first time they're giving us a full track out of the new songs from the album even before it's released? Hana ga Saku Taiyou Abite did not even receive the full MV upload treatment on their channel when the mini album was released omg
