I'm happy for them. But i don't really love their song, i listen one or 2 times and they are allready forgotten by my mind, I don't know why.

I wonder if, when H!P forms their next group, they'll go in a similar direction to Beyonds (A strong concept from the beginning, which they stick to), or return to their normal formula. It certainly payed off this time, but for the longest time Beyonds seemed like an afterthought, then they seemed to stumble into a winning formula.

So as a beware to iTunes users, Vitamin ME has been more or less put up on the store and it was done by MM Germany, I would heavily suggest to not buy that....I wish there was a report button on there, but yeah, just get it from the official single release.

Congrats Beyooooonds!
This group is exactly why I became a fan of Morning Musume in 2003.
Their music is wacky and you'll never know what their new single will be and these girls have tons of personality.

so happy they still have #1, i really didn't expect this but i guess that's my pessimism thinking lol. hopefully this means mgmt will continue whatever they're doing with beyonds promotion wise since it's clearly working well for them. and yes this is way too early to say now but hopefully this means we get another release in the next few months, single or album or ep or whatever lol cuz i'm still mad about that hiatus and this single already more than makes up for it with how strong it is but still lol

Hoshibe Sho did a series on his YouTube channel talking about each of the songs on the Beyooooonds single, which is cool and fun if you're into that sort of thing.

 

But, the thing I want to talk about is;  In the Konna Hazu Janakatta video he brought up the line "心身ともに" as one of the references to other H!P groups.  And I cannot make sense of it as a group name.  I'm reading it as referring to Taiyo to Ciscomoon's song "Body and Soul."  Any other ideas?

(FWIW, I'm more confident that it was an intentional BiSH shout-out but Hoshibe still presented it in the same line as the Dempa shout-out, so maybe I'm just hearing what I want to hear)

I'm also curious about that, I did a deep dive and couldn't figure out what that was referencing. I read through the youtube comments as well and people were wondering why country girls wasn't included, and apparently the "直送" is in reference to a previous Country Musume radio show called "産地直送!カントリー娘。"

Or at least, a commenter pointed that out and Hoshibe confirmed that was the intent, so it's possible that 心身ともに in a similar vein is based off of something really esoteric. My only guess is that it may have to do with kenshuusei in some way?

I'm not sure about Taiyou to Ciscomoon because that would be a big jump in era where all the other groups referenced are more recent. This may have to go down in history of H!P mysteries alongside "just wtf is the rapper saying in Memory ~Seishun no Hikari~?"
He's answering a lot of people's questions in the comments though, so it certainly wouldn't hurt to ask.
