Peel the Apple is an idol group that was formed on July 16, 2020.

They are made up of unsuccessful 26-Ji no Masquerade audition finalists.

The name comes from "apple peel", with the concept of the members being seen as unworthy and not good enough to be idols

but this group gives them a place to shine, as they are useful.

 

The members are

• Asahara Rin (浅原凜)
• Tajima Sakurako (田島櫻子)
• Kurosaki Nanako (黒嵜菜々子)
• Tsutsumi Mone (堤もね)
• Harumi Rio (春海りお)
• Matsumura Mizuki (松村美月)
• Sano Kokone (佐野心音)
• Yamazaki Reina (山崎玲奈)

 

the Group first MV is [Dont Peel the Apple]

their dance is quite different from Nijimasu, more powerfull and coordinated than the "loose" style of Nijimasu

and i got the vibe of Task Have Fun in this song

 

they appear for the first time internationally in Tokyo Idol Festival Online in October 3rd 2020

performing two songs Dont Peel the Apple and Hajimari no Hajimari

 

im very interested in this group, since im supporting Sano Kokone when in Nijimasu audition

It worked for Morning Musume back in the day, so maybe it will work for them. 

And so far, they sound pretty good!

yes they sound pretty good, and their dance is not bad either, kinda nice distraction from the laid back Nijimasu hahaha

so what is the theme of this group

i dont really know the general theme of the group, they never state it in the official twitter and website

but they really pushed that "they're good even if they're like a waste product" feel 

the underdog feeling sure is strong with them
