She's PROBABLY talking about the cube looking thing about half-way down the page.  Not the long thing you get in American grocery stores (I don't really know how bread is sold in other countries, sorry).

 

Depending on how thick you slice it, it's probably what you'd think of as 8 slices of bread.  Which is quite a bit, but not like... pigging out.

 

The point is, lots of carbs.

"Gravure" can be normal photoshooting work for magazines, too. Unfortunately, especially in western fandom, it's more or less interchangeable with bikini photos...

Fashion magazines are actually a kind of borderline.  A lot of people buy them to keep up with/think about fashion, to get hints about clothing and find some off the rack clothing they might want to purchase, but other people buy them to just look at the photos and think "that person's cute" or "that skirt is cute."

 

The word "photogravure," in theory includes like... Ansel Adams prints.  The Japanese word  "グラビア" essentially does not, but does run the gamut of how "sexy," from 0 to 100.  People think bikinis & lingerie because sex sells, and sexy sells photographs & image videos.

 

The photos set into the big weekly/biweekly manga bricks are gravure, no matter whether they're sexy or wearing a deliveryman outfit.  Photocards sold at the Hello!Shop are gravure that every H!P member does, from Makino to Takeuchi.

Nice explanation. I merely meant photoshoot......I understand the girls themselves called this gravure work.

Anyway, the point is Kerorin is already getting this type of work (besides the usual "let's meet the new members" kind of thing). I suppose it's no surprise, she really is a looker.
