I guess they really want to make sure they start the new year with a brand new line-up for Angerme. I wonder if they will announce the new members by then.

If not, once Musubu graduates, Angerme will consist members who are either from a single-member generation or the last standing member of her generation.

I managed to catch the second half of the concert in real time.

 

This was the most emotional grad for me in a long time, woah. Takechan was super emotional, too. I can't believe Funakki is not in Anju anymore.

 

It was indeed very emotional, I thought there's been enough time for fans and members alike to prepare for this moment, with Funakki's graduation having been announced a year ago, but in the end the emotions hit everyone like a truck. I actually teared up several times, I just couldn't hold it back.

 

Funa was a wonderful idol, and Anju is such a warm and welcoming group with tight bonds. I am particularly fond of the Juunin Toiro lineup, as that's the one I saw live on their very memorable first overseas concert in Paris. It's hard to grasp that half of them are already gone.

 

Also something I'd like to point out is how the senior members talked about having worried if Funakki was enjoying her time in Anju. They also said they felt really happy and thankful that Funa said that she loves Anju. Kassa also pointed out how it must have been hard for Funakki to be a kennin, and yeah the discussion if the Country Girls' demotion and kennin system was an ethical thing to do still holds up... but it's all water under the bridge now.

 

Funakki was given an amazing send-off despite the circumstances, great job by everyone involved. I wish her the best of luck on her new path, and I am looking forward to see Angerme evolve again with their new members onboard.

So glad they brought the duet medley back. I thought it was a brilliant idea when Maro did it and I was hoping it would become more of a tradition for them, which it didn't, but I'm glad it's back.

Yes, I agree. I do think Funakki had a very hard start in Anju, despite the members being very welcoming and the happy bunch we know them as. She had just been separated from Yanamin, Momochi wasn't gone that long and the whole thing that happened to CG was just... unfair. I remember my initial reaction to her graduation announcement - which was done in the same breath as the CG grad announcement! - was that she was done. That she didn't want to stay because of what happened to CG. But that was a very emotional first reaction lol.

- I believe Moe fudged her first line that she "inherited" from Mizuki in "Zenzen Okiagarenai SUNDAY".

- It's so bittersweet to watch the duet between Musubu and Ayano. Can't believe this is their last duet as gen mates. Actually, is this their first duet together as gen mate too? Can't remember.

- I do like the gen duets with Musubu. Was hoping they did something like this for Harunan's and Kanana's graduation concerts.

- Wakana is really good, her 'live' vocals are really stable. This girl is going to chalk up major of the solo lines very soon. And she reminds me of a mini-Momoko but the less annoying one. LOL.

- The graduation dress is really fugly, sorry to say that.

- Why is the concert so long? Was is that long for the previous 3 graduation concerts? I don't recall that.

- I wonder if this concert is so emotional is because this is like the 5th graduation in a row (with 6 members gone within 1.5 years) and this year was particularly hard for everyone due to the pandemic, the girls finally have the time to react to all these graduation in succession.

- Her graduation does make me sound like she is burnt out at some point and that she prefers to be a Country Girls member so much and with Yanamin gone.

 

Apparently, Momoko, Nanamin and Mizuki attended the concert.

Mai did attend too as evident from her IG account. Same as Ayacho, Kanana, Rina and Maho.

I am surprised Risa, Manaka and Chisaki didn't attend though.

I wonder if Haruka attended, considering she did work with Musubu. But I guess it would be too painful for her.

Just watched the concert, my thoughts and observations:

Nice! Thanks for the update. Glad that Chisaki attended. Because I went to her IG yesterday night, but didn't see her update that she attended.

Oh, Ayaka did mention Haruka didn't attend. I am surprised she mentioned that.
