Best bet is they'll probably sing the shortened 2.5min-3min versions of the songs for each member since this is telebi we're talking about

So excited for the member solos!!

I'm expecting TV size versions + talk segments + commercial breaks. I am really curious about the format they're going to use though. People have mentioned splitting it up and I'm wondering if they might do an intermission of sorts somewhere in the middle of the 5 hours.

I am liken this to the H!P equivalent to Eurovision Song Contest (if anyone knows that competition well). The grand final of the song contest features 26/27 acts (depending on the year) and each act can only perform a song that is 3min long at max. With opening acts/interval acts and voting sequence, that show lasts over 3.5 hours. The running order is basically decided by the producers of the show, but the acts will only get to draw lots which will decide which half of the show they will perform (first or second half).

So considering this festival features over 50 girls, I would imagine that the girls will get the shorten versions of the song.

I do hope they spice it up abit by having the girls to the draw lots which will decide which part of the show they will perform.

The producer can then decide which exact slot the girl will perform depending on the song tempo (ie. fast song, slow song alternating).

And also, I hope we don't get repeated songs for some of the girls. It's like there are thousands of songs in H!P catalogue, why can't the fans at least try to select something unique for each girl.

It's been announced that actress Matsuoka Mayu will provide commentary and TV Asahi announcer Hironaka Ayaka will provide narration for "Solo Fes!".

Takase Kurumi and Okamura Minami were guests on "Idol Mou Icchou Plus" and talked a bit about "Solo Fes!":

- "Kurumin says it's similar to KSS Shindan Test (but of course) but different because there's no audience and just the staff who are recording with them. So a different kind of nervousness (Kurumin says a battle with yourself)."
- "Nakajima-Disc-san asking the important question: Any songs that overlapped for Solo Fes. Kurumin says most probably not (so no then)."
- "Nakajima-san asking the second important question: How did the girls vote? Kurumin: Everyone recorded their solos by themselves. The staff sent everyone all 52 videos. The girls watched them all and voted for the best one."
- "More solo fes info: The girls could only vote once. The girls were not able to watch each other's solos live (obviously, for covid precautions and: see previous tweet) At the time of interview with Nakajima-san the girls have only voted, they do not know who is the winner."
- "What to look forward to:
Miimi:
-The quality (all 52 girls's perf.) is very high
-The girls all showed off their personalities well
Kurumin:
-Everyone performed what they wanted to do/did what they were good at
-52 might be a lot, but please pay attention to every performance~"

Glad to see that Maimi still keeps up with H!P, she would add a short comment to many members after drawing their names.

The performance order has been released. Yajima Maimi (who will also MC the show) drew the order at random.

So it's great that they have done the random drawing lots to decide the member's performance order, so there is no biasness in the sense.

Just to clarify, is it confirmed that each member will perform the top-voted song for that selected member?

Can you imagine if you have 10 ballads or high energy songs in a row? It's going to be pretty disastrous.

And as Eurovision lingo, Masaki got the death slot @ no. 2.

More than half of the MM girls are in the first 20 slots (with Mizuki and Erina side by side, that's pure luck), with half of Tsubaki girls in the last 20 slots.

The members of other groups are pretty evenly spread out.

Interesting the opener and closer of the show are members from Beyooooonds.

And by the way, will they release the confirmed list of songs performed before the show?

And it's nice to see Maimi drawing the lots. And when she smiles, I can see some resemblance in Sakura.

No, the announcement page only says that the members will consult the Twitter submissions to make their decisions. So while they could opt to sing the most popular selection, they could also pick the one they like the most out of the bunch, in theory.
