I hope Kobushi Factory was "snubbed" here because they're planning something similar (empty house but still broadcasting) with their already scheduled final live. If not, screw everything about this.

I don't understand this choice. If it's just a case of who they think will bring the most viewers then Angerme wouldn't have had their premium broadcast either. Maybe this is going to be the grad concert for the members who have had their's cancelled.

For me Koko ni Iru ze exemplifies the bigger problem. In the original version, everybody had one line, but here it was just the regulars.

Yop, the MM performance was pretty bad. Even the best singers sounded tired. People always say MM is all about talent, but that's only true when they use filters on blu-ray release Right now tgey are average at best.

^ The old MM is all about talent (hi, golden and platinum era), but the current MM is so far from that. I think compared to the other HP groups, MM is one of the weakest in term of (musical) talents.

They have talent there. The problem is they don't use it. They push members vocally like Haga, Maria, Yokoyan and Chii who are all just eh singers. When decent singers like Miki, and Kaga kind of just sit in the back and get maybe a line every 3 songs.

This is an Idol group, they don't need to be Pavarottis. Anything above terribad level such as Yamagishi Riko's goes.

 

For the rest, the dancing and the looks do the part.

^^^ I was especially surprised about Kaede getting very little lines, since they pushed her so well in Ningen Kankei.

 

But in general, I think the girls are tired. Mizuki and especially Ayumi weren't at their top level.

The reason why the Morning Musume didn’t sound as great as they usually do has nothing to do with how good the members are at singing or performing. It’s because there’s no audience for them to hype up and get energy from. If you compare the Morning Musume ‘18 Rock in Japan Fes performance of “How Do You Like Japan?” with today’s Morning Musume ‘20 HinaFes performance of the same song the Rock in Japan Fes performance is clearly the stronger of the two:



Also you have to remember that the girls probably aren’t feeling in the best spirits right now due to a lot of their concerts and events needing to be cancelled to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The fact they had no audience to perform in front of for the same reason why their concerts and events had to be cancelled was probably a little depressing for them

Nah, they always sou'd bad on TV broadcast, it's nothing new. Just compare the TV version and Blu-Ray version of their concerts. It's like day and night.

As for Kaedii, there was no lines to give her. All the songs were performed after the last grad, there was just no new lines to give to anyone.

Or and hear me out this might sound crazy... You could take some of Mizuki and Sakura's line (You know at least 80% of each song) and give them to other members. (Cuz like even when a member leaves they give all the lines to either Mizuki, Sakura, Masaki or Ayumi.)
