They performed "Seishun no Hana" today at the Winter 2020 concert, after announcing the disbandment to the audience.

With a title like Seishun no Hana, Tsunku not being in the song credits is almost as much of a shock as the disbandment.

Yeah, it's quite surprising. But if we look at their discography so far, they're not Tsunku-reliant as they had more Hoshibe Sho and Iijima Ken songs on their A-side catalog. Their Main A debut song Dosukoi! Kenkyo ni Daitan is not written by Tsunku. They only did a cover of one of his songs (Ramen Daisuki Koizumi-san no Uta) for debut. Their only main A-side song that's Tsunku-made is Kitto Watashi wa.

That's maybe why i don't really listen any of the Kobushi song very often. Without Tsunku song there is a lack of memorable song. And what's funny is it's Kitto watashi wa the song I love the most The kobushi / tsubaki = Berryz / Cute is already dead. I'm shocked they give up so easily.

Bleh, I don't really care that it's not by Tsunku, most of the songs he's done for H!P in the last few years have been... questionable to say the least. And Kobushi only has one proper Tsunku song anyway, I don't know why people were expecting his involvement in their final single. 

 

Seishun no Hana is definitely tied to their earlier song Kobushi no Hana, which was done by Hoshibe Sho, and he composed this one too, so there's that.

 

Looking forward to this single!

I loved Kobushi no Hana (it's so hard to sing though :x) so I hope I'll like this one as well.

I was actually expecting/hoping for "Seishun no Hana" to have been written by Hoshibe Sho... especially given the obvious reference to their previous album song.

And while the other set is the "bland and infamouse white one", Kobushi at least have a proper reason to have them with their reference to white magnolia blossom.

I’m pretty sure it’s a standard thing now that when a group disbands they wear white for at least one song. Berryz was in white for Romance wo Kakette, C-ute for To Tomorrow, and (although not necessarily planned) Anju’s last single as S/mileage.
