They really don't want this last single to be sad which is nice. They already have enough slow songs/ballads so its nice their final graduation song is upbeat.

The following events have been canceled (no plans to reschedule) due to the continued daily / growing threat of the coronavirus and the government infectious disease ordinance. Refunds will be offered for the cheki/autograph/janken/handshake events. They are currently planning new projects, such as gifts for fans, that do not require customers to gather; updates will be given as things are decided.

Sigh... looks like the virus will greatly affect the sales... not to mention that those were one of the last few chances for fans to meet the girls...
It's such a pity, but it cannot be helped I guess. (Let's just hope it won't get as far as to concert cancellation...)

They sounded so sad in their blogs today, especially Ayapan. (As best as I can tell from machine translation.)

And Sakurako loses her last birthday event.

Sakurako said on her blog that her birthday event (3/9, so right in the window of cancellations) was cancelled.

Ayapan said the NGP event with Rei and Risa was cancelled, too.

 

 

ETA: I didn't realize that all of the remaining release events had been cancelled. I thought there were a few more possible before the last live.

Now I understand it more why Sakurako said she cried when they told her. And why Ayapan seemed to be so upset by it.

It is entirely possible they (and us) will not get a chance to say a proper good bye. My heart is breaking for them. (OK. That's a little dramatic, but I'm still really sad.)

It's all just a really terrible set of circumstances, even with it being understandable that the health of everyone involved comes first. Hopefully they'll be able to do something else for the girls/fans; maybe livestreams or something.

- Tower Records Shibuya will have a Kobushi Factory costume exhibition featuring outfits from the "Seishun no Hana" MV, located on the 4th floor from March 3rd - 9th.

- Tower Records Shinjuku will have a panel exhibition showcasing jacket photos from Kobushi Factory's debut to final singles, from March 3rd - 9th.

Starting March 1st through to the 30th the TSUTAYA Machida store will have a Kobushi Factory costume exhibition, featuring outfits from the 2nd album Limited Edition A cover, and display panel for the support of the FC Machida Zelvia official cheer song released by Kobushi. In addition the cover jackets for all of Kobushi's singles, their artist photos, and live concert photos will be displayed.

I would love to see a good showing, but I have to expect that the event situation will really hurt them.

3rd is at 33k

 

Looks like it hurt them but don't know how bad since there were some big names this week so that would've pushed them down even lower. Hope the numbers were at least 20k

Like even without the events, it’s like each fan buying all editions. Were they that unpopular?

Nah any group in H!P would suffer this bad with no reason to buy more than a few copies. 
Plus H!P didn't start really doing anything to make up for the lack of events until I think yesterday at 6pm was the cut off for the signature thing they where doing. 
H!P relays VERY heavily on people buy 20-30-100 copies.

Even MM or BEYOOOONDS will suffer if similar things occur to them.

I think most idol groups, not just H!P, rely on events to sell CDs. Pandemic is the worst enemy of entertainment industry.

They probably would have sell a bit more than usual if most of their promotion wasn't cancelled. They were just really unlucky. I feel bad for them. They did their best to leave with a bang and all their plans were cancelled one after another.
