About the billboard sales, from jplop:

Morning Musume's best Billboard Japan First 3 day sales ever in the Mizuki Era.

It will soon surpass the Mizuki Leader Era's best selling single "Jama Shinai de Here We Go! / Dokyuu no Go Sign / Wakaindashi!" overall 4 week total reported (189,322~), in just a week.

I'm a little late to the conversation but I have to say how much I love this single. I really love it. The song I love the most is definitely Kokoro&Karada. But Ningen Kankei is a song I can't stop dancing when I'm listening to it. I was missing such a good single like this.

But! Momusu is 116,000+ in 2 days Looking good so far!
 

 

I wonder though. I think somewhere in this thread we have talked before about Oricon vs Billboard sales and sometimes they're so close and other times so far from each other. Oricon's rules have changed so much and now only counts a certain amount at a time.

But I wonder which one is more relevant to actual sales?

Well, I think at this point we should just focus on how the group can surpass itself. The sales for this single are even better than expected, so we shouldn't worry about other groups. The girls and the group is fine and that's all we should consider.

ShiningLight445: It seems hard to pick one over the other to me at this point. Billboard doesn't discount multi-buys after a certain point like Oricon, but if memory serves Oricon pulls numbers from a larger selection of venues than Billboard. It would be nice to get a count of every copy sold regardless of who bought them from the number of venues Oricon has, but unless that happens eventually I'll just keep taking them both as compliments to one another.

It is their best selling Billboard Japan single sales (reported) in the Morning Musume Fukumura Mizuki Era.

 

The previous highest selling single in the Mizuki Era was "Jama Shinai de Here We Go! / Dokyuu no Go Sign / Wakaindashi!" which had a 4 week reported overall total (189,322). It continued to have additional sales for a few more weeks after but Billboard Japan just doesn't like to provide weekly sales numbers past the top 50, so we don't know the absolute total past 189,322.

Those are some lovely numbers to see. Only about 5k off too? So close. If it can get one more week on the Billboard Top 50, there's a decent chance of it officially (recorded publicly) hitting 200k.

Well, in general this single has done really good, I wished for better digital positions but I guess that's asking for too much. Kind of sad that LOVEPedia didn't make it into Hot 100, but at least we got more than one song in it. But in the end all I care is that I love this single.

It seems the most popular song from this single is Ningen Kankei, I love KOKORO&KARADA but I knew since the first time I listened to it that Ningen Kankei is a very funny song that can make everyone dance. I think management should think more carefully about which song will be more popular.
